Yeah, I use it pretty often.
I run a small server cluster, comprised of mostly Macs, of course.
Whenever I need a new machine, I go looking on there.
You can always find some idiot selling one for cheap...then you bargan down!

Its a horrable UI, but in some ways, it works?

I am about to sell three tennis rackets for about 150 bucks all together.

I am also searching for jobs in my little town of Redlands, CA from there

I am try to sell my NBA jerseys which are in good condition, and Im advertising myself as a photographer who is looking for work in various types of sports assignments as baseball, basketball, little league games and so on. I hope it works out but so far its been a good experience.

Yes.

I've sold a car, a DVD player, and an entertainment center on Craigslist.

No more newspaper classified ads for me.

I've found several places to live on there ... awesome resource for that.

I have also found some decent furniture for next-to-nothing on craigslist as well.

I am also a musician and use the site to find other local musicians to work with.

Recently, I needed an "enforcer type" for a supervisor job.

My craigslist post title -->ASSHOLE NEEDED.

I've had very mixed results. A house my girlfriend had for rent got a lot of good quality responses. A beater truck I tried to sell didn't and so I put an ad in the paper and it was gone first day for $100 more. Ive had a motorcycle advertised for 2 months now with about 3 inquiries. I did get one job through the skilled trade section but they were bargain hunters.

It seems that the buyers are all looking for something for nothing so as a seller it really hasn't been much good for me.

Well just look at the demographics. Your average gearhead or grease-monkey that is looking for a beat up truck wont go to Craigslist and probably wont even have an email and Internet access. When it comes to property, you're dealing with a more sophisticated demographic an thus, well aware of Craigslist. However, there are exceptions.

I used to work for Craig Newmark's brother. He said it didn't cost them much to setup and run since it is a pretty simple design. Despite the huge buyout offers, Craig refuses to sell the site. He believes the online community is there to benefit society by allowing people to exchange ideas. It was only recently that they began a nominal charge for real estate listings. I think the move was mainly to reduce the amount of SPAM and multiple listings.

I have a friend that found a roommate on craigslist. There is some good stuff on there you just have to be careful because there is potential to be scammed.
