Love the photos. I went to Vaancouver this time last year and really enjoyed it. Thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories.

Great Pictures! It looks like a beautiful city, I totally need to visit it someday.

I really like the pictures with the mountains as a back drop. Must be great to have the coast and the mountains next to each other.

I live only 4 hours away. I really wish i visited more often. It's a truly magnificent city.

I love living in YVR, while the city may be a bit left for my liking (political) the city in it's self is gorgeous.

I've been to Vancouver several times thanks to relatives who live there. Isn't it such a beautiful city?  bigthumbsup 

Besides the obviously beautiful scenery, I love Vancouver for its beautiful parks, decent public transportation, and good Chinese food (lots of Hong Kong expatriates live in this city). And it's only a few hours' drive (and ferry ride) to get to Victoria, probably the most beautiful city in Canada outside of Quebec City.  yes

One of my absolute favorite cities in the world. Nothing says "beautiful" like Vancouver. I'd love to consider moving there someday...we'll see.

Do you love the weeks on weeks of gloom in the winter ? Or the astronomical real estate prices (W Van now _averaging_ > $1M per). Or the seemingly perpetual gridlock downtown ? I don't. Not to mention the East side. Give me the prairies anytime: blue skies pretty much guaranteed.

Yes, Vancouver is a terrific place to _visit_ in the summer. Then you can leave. But as the saying goes, to each his (or her) own.

Very beautiful pictures! I'll be in Vancouver next week, I'm looking even more forward to it! I've only been once before but didn't have the time to sight see.

What's the name/deal with that pool about half way down?

Vancouver is indeed awesome. Pretty nice airport, too! My sister lives in Victoria, which is also quite a nice place, with slightly better weather, as well. (Her husband serves in our mighty navy, from there.)

If teachers in B.C. weren't the worst paid in the country (relative to the cost of living, of course - in absolute terms it looks more favourable), it's a place I'd consider moving, for sure. Then again, I would live just about anywhere in this country! Along with Connies4ever, I'm one of the few who really love the prairies, as well! I've lived/worked in QC, ON, MB, SK, and YT, and love all of them.

Ahh, good old Vancouver. I lived there for about a year (I was a wee lad then, and I do not remember much, though).

Great city, but it's a little expensive for my tastes. However, some of the best shopping/restaurants/city life is either downtown on Robson, in Chinatown or along Broadway. Quite nice in the summer, but the weather during the winter can be quite depressing (weeks upon weeks of rain), but I personally love rain (better than snow here in Calgary). Also, if you are going to live downtown, get a bicycle and avoid the hassle of sitting in your car for 2 hours trying to get out of downtown. That's just a suggestion though.

I guess if my career choice takes me to Vancouver, I'll probably take a nice place out in the interior (Abbotsford, Langley, someplace like that) and visit the city when the small-town atmosphere doesn't work for me.

One of the best cities I have ever been too and Im very glad to live here - in summer, its just amazing. And there are hot chics everywhere...
