You should try my turkey/bacon recipe.
Slice a one pound skinless turkey breast. Stuff with Swiss cheese, butter, and spices. Tie breast closed with baker's twine every inch. Wrap completely in thick-sliced pepper bacon strips. Wrap in heavy foil. Grill on medium heat for 15 minutes. Turn. Grill another 10 minutes. Eat. Have heart attack.

Well, it obviously can be the leg, wing, or thigh, they just don't have enough meat for it. So I leaves the breasts, but they have to be boneless, because I'm sure you can't get a chicken T-Bone or Ribeye.

Hmmmmm...some folks are enamored of this particular configuration but it has never appealed to me. Bacon in close proximity to a thick beefsteak is not ordinarily going to get hot enough to cook enough for my taste.
On the other hand I do make kabobs with alternating courses of round steak, vidalia onion, green pepper, bacon, cherry tomato and pineapple and slap them on the charcoal grille. They get a good smoky taste that's hard to beat. There's a couple big oaks next to the house and I usually gather up the twigs that have fallen on the deck and throw them in the grill for extra air pollution.

Instead of going for the steak wrapped in bacon, just get your steak cut to order (assuming you're buying it at the store and not at a steakhouse) and have them leave the fat on it. The reason why you see fillets wrapped in bacon is so to provide some fat content so the steak won't dry out while it's being cooked. As much as I love bacon, I personally don't think it belongs alongside a steak. The only time beef and bacon should be together is on a hamburger.

I think that would depend on the cut of meat you have selected....if it's back meat off of a 12 year old bull then maybe it'll be a little tough....
if it's a nice filet from a kobe beef....and some nicely smoked bacon (perhaps with apple flavoring) then it's really good.

We used to get filet mignon all of the time, but for several years now, we've gone to getting t-bones, as they seem to be more flavorful than the filet alone.

Honestly, I can't remember having it - bacon has to be cooked right for me to eat it, preferably flattened on the skillet with all the grease pressed out afterwards. But, oh well, if the bacon grease cooks into the meat, hey, what's another clogged artery?

These kind of sausages are called "Berner" sausages here in Germany, it is a Wiener sausage filled with cheese and wrapped in bacon, pretty awesome stuff, I had three of them at a BBQ a few weeks ago.

I think if you grill such a thing, the bacon grease will give it a nice smoky taste as the hydrocarbons cook off.

I personally like Fillet Minion wrapped in bacon and not steak for its tenderness. Depending on how tender the steak is, it can taste like fish bait or a good quality piece of food.
