NFL Training Camp: What's Up With Your Club

Thu Aug 09, 2007 1:06 am

Hitting the first weekend of the meaningless games, but the regular season isn't far behind.

What's up with your club?

Browns:

Brady Quinn ended his holdout, and signed Thursday. He'll be at practice Friday.

OL Ryan Tucker suspended first four regular games for using a banned substance.

DL Orpheous out preseason with a bad knee.

C LaCharles Bently's knee at 70%. Could be activated for the regular season.

DB Gary Baxter active, less than a year after tearing both patella tendons.

Rookie DB Eric Wright named to first team.

Update us on your club.

Very excited about the 49ers upcomming season. Mike Nolan has proven himself as a team builder. Alex Smith is developing well. Hopefully Frank Gores training camp hand injury wont be too much of a damper on what looks to be a good year for him. Some good trades and draft aquisitions, the 49ers look to be bulding a quality team. Certianly not at the level of the dynasty years of the Walsh era...but a helluva lot better than the 2 win seasons a few years ago With the passing of the great Walsh, there is a sense to really put on a strong winning effort for him.

Cheers

They have a wasted draft pick in that gimpy ankled Ted Ginn, Jr. who was great running three routes at OSU and running back kicks. Wonderful! He'll be a great replacement for Wes Welker as a 4th receiver and kick returner. That fool shouldn't have been a third round pick let alone a top 10 pick.

We passed on Brady Quinn, even though I think he'll be a bust in the NFL, for a 27 year old rookie. Who the Hell is running that insane asylum down there? I could have taken a dump on the draft sheet and made better picks for crying out loud!

No, we're going to suck something fierce this year. Thanks a lot Nick Saban. You're a jerk and I hope you get chased out of Tuscaloosa in the near future.

The main news at Giants camp is Michael Strahan is holding out for more money. He says it's because he is uncertain about weather he wants to return for another season, but he dicused his contract with the Giants earlier this year. So I'm thinking it's about money.

I never really had a club until last year. But being the VY fan i am, i now and rooting for the titans  Wink I am fairly confident about this year though, as we should at least a meteocre amount of talent during last season...im beginning to think VY is starting to fit the mold better too  Smile I can only hope we do better this year  Smile

Also, i am also a dolphin fan, but that wont mean much this year  Wink

the Jets look sharp so far in training camp. I went down to Hempstead to watch them and so far they look good. I doubt they are superbowl contenders this year so far but playoffs look likely. It depends. We need to keep tweaking the offense. We need to get fresh players in there and create a program that works while keeping players on the team for more than two years at a time as well. Right now the Jets are the revolving door of the NFL.

Bills: We had our first arrest of the season after defensive end Anthony Hargrove punched a cop outside a Crapchester nightclub.

I'm a Falcons fan and there has been an extreme dearth of information about any of our players. In fact the dog days of summer seem to be fighting away any and all news out of Flowery Branch these days.

My Cowboys:
Terry Glenn just had minor surgery; he is missing the first pre season game vs. Indy-Pat Creighton is replacing him. Glenn will be back for the regular season
TO: is having back spasms but will be fine-of course the media is making a mountain out of a molehill with regards to this.
Romo: is not holding PAT's and FGs
Anthony Spencer is looking to secure a position on D with the 3-4-3 defense; some competition should make the Dallas D one of the strongest in the league.

Even with Brees' good season last year in NOLA I'm sure we would've effed him up and Douchebag Culcrapper would have been a ProBowler where he ended up. Freakin' frustrating! Thank God my Gators are doing good. I think I might wear a paper sack over my head to the Fish games this year if I even go.

Technically we could 0-16 but the spirit and morale of the team and fans can't get much lower.

Now I would not be suprised there. I am glad our teams rivalry is more like an ownership lately. Now those pesky Pats are in the way of it again though.

Not unless Rex Grossman can get his act together. He needs to string together a few good games instead of the up and down play he had last year. Oddly enough he'll have another Gator QB as his backup lurking there waiting for a shot to shine.
