DNRC clothes are highly unfashionable.

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o252/neces0c9/PHTLS0165.jpg

And an old photo. These clothes are also not pleasing to the eye, but they help save the clothes from staining.

Highlights this summer included:

-Being tackled off a raft by a 23 year old blonde in a bikini because I was a bit too witty.

-Spending a buttload of time working on fires.

-Finally being reimbursed by Delta...after six months of writing, emailing, calling, and such, I just started sending a few thousand pages of faxes a day. After that, I had a $400 in my hands within two days, and a long letter apologizing for all the stunts that had been pulled, and many various excuses.

-Getting to see my Lady again, as well as my "other best friend," who is a great chap and in his 60s.

-Preventing four deaths, but losing two.  Sad

-Getting all the letters that confirmed my escape from Riddle.

Otherwise, it's been quite a hectic time. All training, working, and fishing!

Oh, ok. Sounds sensible. I had a hard time planning the whole thing for my wife - 6 months of secrecy... but it paid off, she was so surprised when I proposed that she almost fell off a cliff in Capri! You are saving yourself a lot of trouble... no doubt.

Getting all the letters that confirmed my escape from Riddle.
Another do tell. In southeastern PA, Riddle is a hospital.

No pics but for me this summer's been a mixed-bag.

Attended a Kansas concert at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ (near Philly) during the 4th of July. While it rained-off-and-on during the concert (I came prepared for that) the fireworks did go on. Prior to the concert fireworks, I was able to see from a distance a couple of fireworks displays from neighboring towns.

Saw my best friend's newborn son later that week.

Made my usual trek to TEB to run in their annual 5k (on airport grounds).

Attended my company's outing at a Camden Riversharks game. They lost but it was good to talk with some co-workers that I don't get a chance to converse with during regular hours.

Spent a few days out in Salem, OR to visit a friend of mine.

Made a day-trip to the Jersey Shore (Ocean City). The water was great.

Visited the Philadelphia Eagles' training camp at Lehigh University. Later that day, I visited with a friend that I haven't seen in over 7 years.

Visited my brother's family in Sturbridge (for my older niece's birthday).

Attended Hersheypark a couple of times.

Worked my tail off. Workwise, this month has been The Month From Hell. I can't wait until this Thursday when I go on vacation again.

The highlight/peak of my summer was this past August 3; when I drove out the dealership in my brand new dark red 2007 Ford Mustang convertible... my first ragtop and Mustang. The model's the V6 Pony package (the one with the more retro-front end and the additional tri-colored Pony emblems on the front fenders). While the GT (V8) convertible was tempting; I wanted to keep the purchase cost below $30k (which would what a GT ragtop would've went for). Plus there weren't too many '07 left-over GT ragtops available.

It will get its first long drive later this week when I head up to New England for an extended Labor Day weekend. Hopefully, there will be decent weather so I can keep the top down.

Note to Superfly, this vehicle will be in addition to my '97 Crown Vic (my last new car) and the ol' '76 LTD; although the LTD will be going to my brother's after Labor Day weekend (he'll be riding down with me on my return trip). He needs a vehicle for nights & weekends (he drives a company van for his job).

Moving right along.

Congratulations Pep on your engagement.

Ahh, yes, Leah does know all about it. Sadly my whole family was around to see it, and they reported it to Leah. Anyway, I was making some harmless jokes (That'll offend EVERYONE as Kai would say.) which I knew Bree didn't appreciate. She's my mother's boyfriend's daughter who does psychosocial rehab 3/4 of the year and is a rafting guide in Riggins, ID the rest. I was the lead paddler on our boat and she was steering, so I never noticed her put away her paddle and spring. As I clambered up into the raft, I remarked that her way of giving me rehab was a tad bit melodramatic. I wasn't aware that she had a knife. I think she was serious when she said that she'd slit my lifejacket and throw me out in the rapids!  Wow! All in good fun for swashbuckling souls such as myself, though, I assure you. My family operates on a rather aggressive level of...bonding you might call it.

That's great news... and who says persistence doesn't pay off? ??

It really is, although I can't say I trust DL at all anymore.

Another do tell. In southeastern PA, Riddle is a hospital.

No hospitals here. I got away from Embry Riddle in AZ and am going to a place closer to home where I can keep up my CEUs. That college was such a rip off...

Ooooops! Embarrassment

Don't worry Sup, I'll take it as a compliment. You recognized my Georgian heritage we'll say!

No offence, but you do look a little bit like woman in that bottom picture.  duck

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.
