Sen. Craig Pleas For Disorderly Conduct

Craig paid $575 in fines and fees for the misdemeanor charge. A Hennepin County (Minn.) District Court spokesperson said Craig's case, which reached the court on Aug. 8, was continued and could be dismissed after one year of unsupervised probation. A 10-day prison sentence was stayed.

"Senator Craig was continued for dismissal. The conditions (for dismissal) are no same or similar" violations during his probation period, the spokesperson said.

According to the newspaper, the officer's report stated that the senator exhibited behaviors commonly used as signals for men seeking to pick up other men in public restrooms. They allegedly included blocking the door to the bathroom stall with his wheeled luggage and tapping his foot while moving it closer to the stall where the cop was seated. Craig also allegedly reached his hand down and waved it under the stall wall.

Just this week I was having a conversation with a coworker in the next stall and I mentioned "blow" and "job" in the same sentence. Granted, I said, "S#*t, when I took this job I didn't know it would blow so bad." I guess I was subconsciously coming onto him!

There are plenty of fools on both sided of the aisle and committed far more serious crimes including killing someone in a DWI and almost all take in millions each over the years in de facto bribes as campaign contributions and continued to be in office. Maybe Sen Craig is a hypocrite or maybe he figured he made a mistake in his behavior and wanted to bury the story, but almost every politician is guilt of some crime that should chase them out of office.

Get on some risque places at the internet. Airport & public restrooms are a PRIME spot for sex acts, drug deals, and sometimes underage alcohol deals as well. Understood. I'm just thinking you could fight the charges, although he didn't, by claiming you had no knowledge of this tapping code and were just drunk, slightly deranged, or pissed off because some schmo was hogging your favorite public restroom stall.

Personally I think the guy is probably queerer than a 3 dollar bill and was most likely looking for some part time in the head on his head but he should have fought the charges with exactly the way I'm saying to do it.

You and i can figure out his intent. Its just a technicality in the realm that this is getting discussed. The fact of the matter that the public now know that he is a hypocrite. Wether he would be found guilty or not - it really doesn't matter.

It is like hiding a CD in your pants at a store, and you get stopped before actually leaving the store. Probably not enough to get a jury to convict you, but all can see what the intent was.

I'm not defending him but rather just saying we are assuming he is gay based on some disorderly conduct violation.

For all intensive purposes he was there looking for some loving and deep down inside he is a hypocrite but until he pleads guilty to solicitation of sex he is only guilty of being an ass in public.

I'm saying your example of stealing a CD where you have something physical in a place where you shouldn't is nothing like him tapping his foot outside a stall and I'm certainly not saying being gay or even looking for gay sex is a crime.

I'm just saying that if he was charged with Solicitation of Sex then he had the ability to fight the charge based on claiming no knowledge of this gay tap code. Since he was charged with Disorderly Conduct he really didn't have a way to fight the charge.

Again, not defending him, not saying being gay is bad...just saying he was charged with Disorderly Conduct and not Soliciting Sex.
