I'm in. But did you really have to set the draft for 9.30 pm on a Friday night?

Count me in!

Hopefully this time around, we'll have more than 3 people actually participating (read: actually checking their lineup, etc.) by the last couple weeks of it...
Shut up and calculate.

I ought to ban you for usurping my duties as the A.net Fantasy Hockey Commish (I ran the A.net league the last two years)......... And you could have at least provided a link as well (rookie)....  Silly

And Blades of Steel will be back to defend their crown and try to make a 3-peat. Although my team will be under another username, I am still out to mop up the floor with you guys.
I'm liking the 4 W as opposed to 2LW/2RW setting except I am always partial to the use of Util which I know we don't do in this league anyway. The scoring categories are a bit different (no PIMs or points) but it should keep things fresh.

Anyone has a keeper league going on or know of one that's starting?

Of course you guys have to set this up when I'm moving and don't have internet. banghead  Being one of those 3 people actually checking their lineup last year, and winning the consolation because of it, I wanted to defend my king of the losers crown this year. Oh well; more time to watch the Leafs.  cry

It seemed that only me and 15 Inch Rooster were there for the live draft, if anyone else was on live, they didn't really chat much. I'm happy with my team and can't wait for the season to start already!

Hell, I was asleep at the time of the draft. 10:30 pm on a Thursday night means I'm in bed. I'm pretty happy with my roster though. Just hoping that the seasons Paul Stasny and Chris Kunitz had last season weren't flukes. I also hope Sheldon Souray's +/- numbers are better than last season's as well.

I had all 3 on my Rotisserie League team last year. Picked Stasny up in January. Kunitz seemed a bit streaky at times, and Souray's +/- almost hosed me. I'd say Souray and Stasny are good pickups, but Kunitz....well...you'll have to wait and see...

Kunitz is a big ? to me since you really don't know what you're getting with him. Especially considering that in the 2005-2006 season, Anaheim waived him, the Thrashers picked him up, waived him, then Anaheim picked him back up.

Who knows if he's worth that nice new contract the Ducks gave him.

IS it just me or did last year we had over a month to set-up etc....

Next year, give more than a week please between sign ups and the draft. Thanks.

It wouldn't have happened had someone not usurped my position as the Commissioner for the A.net Fantasy Hockey League. I disliked the draft day and time myself, as some of us do have jobs that require us to be up at 5-5:30 in the morning and we're usually in bed before 10.

Don't worry, I missed it too. I thought we would have more time between sign-up and the draft. I still have to see who is on my team.

Start up another one, then. I'm in a league now, but I'm for joining an additional one.  thumbsup

Too damn lazy to do so, plus I got my share of fantasy sports teams to keep up with already in addition to a few other irons in the fire.
