This is only counting states that I have actually stepped foot in outside of the airport, since if you include the airport, it's a few more.

If you're in Boston and have a rental, check out going up to Kittery and York, Maine with a stop for lunch in Portsmouth, NH. That way you can check off MA, NH, and ME and if you have time maybe head down to Providence or Newport, in Rhode Island.

Here's mine:

I didn't include Ohio, though I've transferred twice at CLE.

Still have quite a few places to see but I'm pleased with what I've accomplished so far.

Vermont is the ONLY state that I have not at least touched once in my life. Kind of odd, because I lived 30 miles from the border for 6 years and not once went, but why would I ever have to?!

27 for me! It is hard to visit a lot of states when you live in the West. I can hit three in one day going from Vancouver, Washington to San Francisco, California. It would be so easy for me to go from Boston, Mass to Roanoke, Virginia and hit a bunch of states.
You bet I'm pumped!!! I just had a green tea!!!

The only reason why I have been to every state (except for VT) is because I have driven accross the country twice (one southern and one northern), and when I lived in NH, me and my buddy went on a road trip to visit every state that touched the atlantic ocean. Those two road trips alone had to cover at least 30-38 states alone.

My one other big road trips were from here in CA to Seattle, that got me a whole 3 states. I used to drive to Arizona all the time as well. Add that to some flying to Hawaii and Alaska and and some random routings accross the country, and you too would visit 49 states.
