Money , Money and a huge bottle of Champagne . Bvlgari gift sets, Belgian chocolates and some of a limited Edition Coconut Ferrero Rochier which are lovely!! Also got various gift vouchers for department stores so that will keep me busy in the January sales ....

I have two Christmases. We went to my mom's yesterday and opened those presents. For me, they included a VHS-C camera, two Gamecube games, cash and socks. We have yet to open presents at Duane's parents. Look for my tour of Portland on YouTube Big grin

I got a couple of new tops, trousers and jeans, slippers, dressing gown, pj's, shoes, a lady shaver, Oceans thrieteen, Shrek 3, money (which is already spent). One of the best Christmas presents was finding out last week that I'm going to be an auntie, possibly to twins next August, yippeeeeee!!!!!

I am under age, but my dad cashes them in and I get the money. The most I've ever won on a single ticket is $100 a couple of years ago. It was on a crossword that I got in a pack at Christmas time. bigthumbsup

I wrote Santa a nice letter, naturally addressed to the North Pole, and nicely asked for a Garmin GPS. Well did I get a surprise this morning - my Christmas stocking was unnaturally flat. The old bastard left me a bloody whistle and a yo-yo, which he probably picked up at the 7-Eleven down the road. I hope all of his reindeer develop severe diarrhoea, mid-flight home, to such a degree that Mrs. Claus and the elves will need to hose him and his damn sleigh down with a high-pressure hose... mad

PS: Seriously, I don't care about receiving Christmas presents anymore. I would rather give than receive and most importantly remember that while gifts are nice, that's not what Christmas is really about.

Once again, Merry Christmas to all A.netters and your families.

- World Almanac & ESPN Sports Almanac (which I've received every year since the late 1980's)
- Mom's jam cookies
- A book containing a movie and pictures about my grandparents and how they met, fell in love, dealt with World War II, etc. (they'll be married 65 years in February). My mom decided to make it after almost losing my grandfather in early 2005, and the finished product was first seen this summer.

That's pretty much it. Christmas is for the kids, as far as getting gifts, not me. I take much more joy out of seeing their expressions to what they get. I like getting. I like giving even more.

It was cool. A Commadore 64. I got all the options too. CPU, monitor, two floppy drives, tape drive, and a printer. It was stolen in a home invasion in 1985. My parents replaced it with a IBM 8086.

Oddly enough my mom has an iPod and I have no such thing. I like my music on 8-track or LP. CDs are a last resort.

I got, for myself, a Headsets, Inc. ANR upgrade kit, installed in an old but sturdy DC headset; works famously! It is so freaky when I switch it on, and the noise disappears like someone slurped it away, leaving only a vestige of engine noise and the sound of the wind rushing by the window. I would say that the noise reduction is on a par with, or better hanm the Bose X (if you can tolerate the feel of DC headsets- some cannot, call them "head-vices," but I find them just fine).

If you have a set of good headphones, especially David Clarks (which apparently never wear out!), I strongly recommend the Headsets, Inc. upgrade. It installs easily, and works great.

Oh, and some books and stuff.

And, wife and I bought a little piece of land we like... Christmas for us both.
