Quoting AFKLMLHLX (Thread starter): In Europe, you have the best of both worlds, culture, social stigma, family values, nice architecture history and you also have freedom. Quoting AFKLMLHLX (Reply 28):
Always glad to help. See, and there you contradict yourself, because instead of actually hearing out my point, you two are being close minded. And yes I have problems with America! If I hate America, it is I, that stands for first person as in me, hate, meaning that is how I feel, America meaning America is what I hate. And I further explained why I hate America, and you just had to respond with some obnoxious response which was not charismatic at all. I explain in a serious manner how what you are talking about in similarities is different from what I talk about as the reasons why I hate America, and you just re-scramble my words. Good going. |

Quoting AFKLMLHLX (Reply 21): See, many of the adults and kids I know feel that the US is the only free and westernized place in the world, and that makes me filled with vigor. |

Quoting AFKLMLHLX (Reply 17): intolerance in France is ofrnAmericans and people who are uncultured, which I also as well havernintolerance too. And, it is kind of funny you mention how soccer isrnreligion in Brazil because I once mentioned that on an essay about howrnsports are too over-emphasized in America. Yes, soccer is religionrnthere, but it is in a different way. Soccer there is more about seeingrnthe game with friends and celebrating, in America, sports are just concideredrnself image boosters, and at least in Brazil, people will not ridiculernyou for not playing sports, as with the rest of the world. In America, rnpeople make fun of you for not playing sports. It is ridiculous. And,rnthe housing developments in Spain, are much different than therndevelopments in the states. Atleastrnin Spain, they contain urban qualities, in America, it is justrncookie-cutter houses. I have been to all of the places you mentionrnbesides South Korea, and even in South Korea, just knowing about therncountry and watching Anthony Bordain, rnthey have so much culture there and all of the things you mentioned arernin some countries but are done in different contexts. People who livernin Seoul also appreciate food and honor their family. Yes, S Korea is arnvery modern, prosperous country and video games are a big thing amongrnyouths, but atleastrnthey are doing it in a different setting. In America, kids sit in theirrnbasement all day in the middle of their tract housing or McMansion. Andrnfinally, I have a very broad view of the world. I know almostrneverything about the airline industry, economy/politics of everyrncontinent on earth, I love all types of cuisines and cosmopolitanrnviews, I love architecture and cities, and my only point is, I hate howrnmost Americans do not have those qualities. So your argument is not credent because my whole point is that I have a broad view of the world. Just because I do not like Americans, that does not contradict that. I like almost all other peoples on this planet, just not Americans so when I watch Euronews and France 2 news almost everyday, don't tell me that my view is limited. My views on America are what they are, I live here remember? So, I am surrounded by what I speak of. The only thing I do agree with you on is, Canada does have strip malls as well. Canada is almost one in the same as America in many ways, except I do love Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto...great cities. And can't forget Quebec City |
