I did a test like this a few months ago and It said I should be for Mitt Romney. I just did it again and it says I should be a John McCain Man. It is accurate for me. I voted for McCain in the Michigan primary. Clinton and Obama were last on my list. Obama being at the very bottom. In reality I would take Obama over Clinton anyday.

Huckabee
Paul
Clinton

Why is Guiliani's name there and not Edwards? They quit at the same time. Even though McCain was the number one choice the way they worded the immigration question doesn't really match up to his stance and mine. Since the federal government doesn't have any say over teacher pay, what difference does it make what a Presidential candidate thinks? I think the energy question should have been more along the lines of do you favor more drilling in the United States such as in Alaska and off the Florida coast? Anyway, I still don't have candidate in this race. I'll vote since it is my civic duty but I'll not only be holding my nose, but holding my breath as well.

Billary 33
Huckabee 21

Funny thing is, I printed a spreadsheet of candidate positions on something like 20 issues, and McCain was more in line with my views there than Romney. I guess it's all a matter of interpretation.

Now this is an interesting one. I discount Mike Gravel, because he is a pretty useless candidate to me. I am actually surprised to see that, other than Gravel because he got an extra point probably because of Iraq and the Death Penalty, I score higher with Hillary (62) than with Obama (57). The one different thing is that Hillary and I have similar opinions on education, while Obama and I don't agree completely.

As for the Republicans, probably not a surprise that Rudy got the highest at 33 and Ron Paul at 31, but Romney actually outscored McCain better than 2 to 1 (15 to 7). Actually, not a surprise to me, because I know what a rightist McCain is, but probably a surprise to those who think McCain is a "liberal".

I am NOT favorable towards the R's or the D's. I am a full on centrist when it comes to voting. A fiscal conservative, social liberal if you want a label. This should be a great election as both tickets may very well be centrist. But I have no faith that any of the people I see left will have the guts/political will to do anything important.

I can't agree with the results of the quiz because as you can see I have an equal number of disagreements as agreements. I understand that the quiz tried to calculate that but I don't think it does a good job. I guess it is what it is.
The big problem I have with it and one of the biggest issues for me and what would be a deciding factor wasn't even on the quiz: the economic health of the USA (the only question that touched on that was the taxes one).
I am very much up in the air right now as to who I would vote for. Demo or Repub.

I think the Demo's are more likely to have an engaging/enrgizing ticket than the Repub's. It'll be bland vs passion (the vote will depend on your passion - Do you hate one candidate and will vote against or do you feel excited about another to vote for).

I took the same poll a few weeks ago. That time it came out Edwards, Richardson, Obama, Hillary. This time, it comes out Hillary, Obama, Guilani, Gravel. WTF? This time, Huckabee traded places with Ron Paul. I am still writing in Kucinich when Oregon finally gets to vote. By then, it won't matter anyway.
You bet I'm pumped!!! I just had a green tea!!!

WQAD - McCain (yeah right); Romney (should be first); Paul (HAHAHA!)
USA Today - Thompson (yep); Tancredo (Tan-who?); Romney (sounds about right)

USA Today got me right.

I am surprised I agreed with Obama and Clinton on that much.

According to USA Today my choices would be
1. Thompson
2. Romney

ok, so I got the following nbrs:
McCain 61
Huckabee 59 (that's close enough to a tie for me)
Romney 49
Guliani 39
Paul 34
Obama 15
Clinton 8
------------
But I disagreed with every one of them on Iraq and Immigration...
Guess I have too hard a stance on both of these for all of them?
And disagreed with McCain on marriage, which I think is important also...

The only things I agreed with FB (1st "B") on is Energy and Death penalty and the DP was fairly consistent with all of them except Paul...

I dicounted Gravel as I'd never paid any attention to him, and he was lowest anyway.

I got Clinton followed very closely with Obama, although like I notice some others have said makes no difference to me as I don't get to vote. However I have kept a close eye on what has been happening with the US election year and although I probably already knew it it still strikes me as interesting how many people above have Clinton and Obama very close together when it comes to policy choices, and that makes no difference whether they are at the top or the bottom of the list. There have been a fair few nasty comments between the two until the other nights Debate which was all nice to each other, until that night no one thought they could run together, however looking at policy decisions it would not take much for them to run together - whether it will ever happen or not is another question all together.

I scored - in this order:

McCain - 42

Clinton - (Just shoot me now)

PRICELESS!

Mine had Hillary first, and Obama right behind her.

McCain was last n my list, but I would still vote for him over everyone else listed above him on my list, with the exception probably of the top two-because I respect and like him. Shows that the issues aren't quite everything.

A little surprised at how this came out but not overly. I was pretty sure McCain, who has been my top choice, was going to be at the top, and he was by a long shot.
I was surprised an "electability of candidate" wasn't asked though, because that is one thing I consider. I'd rather a guy who shares only 70% of my views but has chance at winning be on the ticket than a guy who shares 90% of the my views but has no chance at winning be on there and lose to someone whose views I don't share at all.

I wonder where Fred Thompson would have ranked on my list.

Mike Gravel is my candidate. We seem to share some views.
But who is he, I never heard of him?

SO, you're a screwball too eh?

Mike Gravel is a loser FORMER Senator from Alaska. Not worth the powder it would take to blow him to hell and back. He's a nut, way, way, way, way outta the mainstream. Surprised he can walk and chew gum at the same time.

He is the only guy or idea that both my grandmother (maternal) and my dad agree on since he and my mom divorced +20 years ago, they dont' like him....So I guess I can say he is bringing people together.

That doesn't surprise me, he was the guy that tried to read the pentagon papers into the congressional record back in the 70's.

Well my top scores, which I went ahead and included Gulianni, although there is no chance in hell I would have voted for him for his gun control stances.

With the exception of Rudy, it is clear that the cream rises to the top.
