Time To Moan... What's Annoying You?

Thu Feb 14, 2008 8:52 pm

There's always something in life that will never fail to irritate/annoy you, whether it be ongoing or just a one-off.

So, what's been pissing you off recently?

Hi,

I played golf today and shot 39 over par! My best ever recently is like 30 over par. My brother gets more like 20 over par and he has a girlfriend and a cool job too. He calls me "dude". It sucks!

Almost everything. Bear with me

Driving behind people who go no more than 10 below the speed limit while I'm being tailgated by someone who seriously doesn't know how to drive. I'd rather be driving in front of a police car for crying out loud.

People who enjoy driving in a lane and a half (seriously, people like that are the reason why I can get so goddamn bitchy on the freeways. Why? Because douchebags who did that made me land in a ditch only 20 feet away from a frozen pond).

Arrogant, self-centered individuals

Type-A personalities.

People who have egos larger than their genitals

People who call me at 4 am and only say hi then hang up

people taking their sweet time at airport security

I could go on all day about things that annoy me, but mainly anything related to driving will set me off.

Things annoying me, well the 'nice' dinner I had the other day which seems to have given me food poisoning, missing two or three days off work = missing a couple of hundred quid in wages and if I'm not feeling much better by tomorrow, missing the launch of my latest University project. Oh, and my course in general is annoying me at the moment.  grumpy

The following that happened in my English class last semester:

For someone's final project she was showing the class how to use photoshop. So everyone was to photoshop a picture of a person. I chose GWB just so I could have some fun. I warped his head and put a swastika on his head. Apparently that was "inappropriate". Yet most people insult him all the time.  Yeah sure We were supposed to try and make the best photoshoped picture. It's amazing how easily people get offended....errr wait, no it's not it's easily believable.  Yeah sure  Yeah sure  Yeah sure The more I think of what happened, the more I want to smack someone across the head.  gnasher

My school set the clocks behind every other clock by 5 mins to allow students more time to get to school. It messes with my schedule later in the day.

This afternoon there was one infront of me driving between 35 and 40 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Cue traffic lights on amber before going on red. She (blonde in BMW X3) speeds up and zips through the lights leaving me gnashing my teeth and muttering unspeakable thoughts - I never drive through red lights.

Why do people insist on standing on their brakes infront of red traffic lights? Use your handbrake. It realy peeves me, especially when it's raining.

Good luck - just make sure you have the new Bathroom ready and waiting to be fitted before they start - I could live without a kitchen for a bit, but bathroom, no way! Btw - you can see anything you missed on the BBC channels on their BBC Iplayer website for up to a week after they were screened, very handy it is too!

1) I want me to get snipped but I question myself if I am ready.

2) People complaining they did not get jack crap on Valentines day. I did not get crud except for a bowling ball and I am still happy.  Smile  Smile

I may only be 17-turning-18, but I have a few things to bitch about:

.High school drama. Oh, wow, you and your significant other just broke up, right before Valentine's Day. Oh, my God, let's all stop the world and cry with you! I don't give a crap! Move on! There are babies starving in Africa, and your boyfriend dumped you. Wow, big choice in priorities there!  sarcastic

.On the topic of Valentine's Day: why waste $200 on romantic stuff in ONE day? What about the other 364 days of the year? It's quickly turning into a Hallmark Holiday (but then again, which ones haven't?)

.Slow drivers. I'm cruising along McKnight just passing the airport and some dippity-dipshit in a shitty 1980-something Volkswagen Rabbit is doing 50 km/h...while the posted maximum speed is 80. What's wrong? Scared of the airplanes landing on your car? Drive the car, don't ride the brakes. That's why cars have both accelerator and brake pedals.

.Wal-Mart. Enough said.

Thanks for letting me vent,
Nik

RE: Time To Moan... What's Annoying You?

Fri Feb 15, 2008 7:02 am

So after I got out of class today (which was Microeconomics, which annoys me!  Silly) I'm waiting for the subway at the W 4th Street/Washington Square Park station in Manhattan. I'm looking to catch a downtown A train (an express train that skips past Spring Street and gives me that feeling of speed that I love to feel when I'm back home driving... anyways, I digress) down to Fulton Street. On the other side of the platform is a downtown-bound C train (local... boooo!). The C train will still get me to Fulton St., but I figure, "Screw it, I don't like local trains (annoying!), it's Valentines Day (annoying), I'm single on Valentines Day(ANNOYING!)... I'm waiting for the f-ing A!"

After 15 minutes during which three other C trains chug by, I'm still waiting. By the time the fourth C train rolls through, I've had enough and decide to hop on, even though I know I'll regret it. Sure enough, I'm already kind of rolling my eyes as we pull into Spring Street rather than fly right by it. As we're about to pull into the Chambers Street station, two stops down, we're overtaken by an A train! And we have to hold for two minutes at Chambers Street while the A pulls ahead of us and merges onto the single track leading to Fulton Street. So I could've taken five other trains that would've gotten me home faster, but instead chose the worst possible train I could have and got in after everything else. Pretty annoying...

Another subway-related rant: Whenever I'm at Union Square at night waiting for a 4 or 5 train, I ALWAYS find myself having to wait about a half-hour for it. This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that there always seems to be a 6 train running in the same/opposite direction every three minutes, or a 4/5 train heading in the opposite direction that I need to go every other minute. Every damn time!  Silly

Otherwise, I'm all smiles!

That is easy... some few people in the forum whose main objective (it seems) in this forum is to say "this has been discussed before", "do a search, is not that difficult".

I still don't get it, and will not get these people. I mean, in my case I don't get to enter the forum everyday, or every week, so I miss some discussions. I also like to discuss, not to read what others have discussed, so I feel I have every right to start a discussion even if the last one was locked the previous week. I know there are other people who think like me.

See, what really gets me is that if people who don't like a topic, or feel it's unworthy of discussing again, why can't they just move to another subject without feeling that they absolutely must post the aforementioned messages?

Annoying.

There's always something in life that will never fail to irritate/annoy you, whether it be ongoing or just a one-off.

At the moment its slow internet. Why I have no idea. I am paying over USD $100 a month for this wireless card and its slow as a turtle. No high speed internet where I live. It used to be fast.
Why fly non stop when you can connect

Why do people insist on standing on their brakes infront of red traffic lights? Use your handbrake. It realy peeves me, especially when it's raining.

Errrrr this could be a stab in the dark but they have automatic transmissions...

1) I want me to get snipped but I question myself if I am ready.

You're way too young to be thinking about such a drastic measure. What if you change your mind when you're in your mid-20s?

The thought of going back to London this weekend and catching a cold or flu off an illegal immigrant that can't speak English

Because, of course, the only people who spread colds are non-English-speaking illegal immigrants.
