This Guy Believes In God

Wed Mar 05, 2008 5:32 am

At least, if he didn't before, he probably does now.

Look at the picture below and you can see where this guy broke through the guardrail, right side where the people are standing on the road (pointing). The pick-up was traveling from right to left when it crashed through the guardrail. It flipped end-over-end, across the culvert outlet, and landed right side up on the left side of the culvert, facing the opposite direction from which he was traveling.

Now look at it from another angle...

Wow!! A long way down that would have been.

Do you have any idea where that is? If I had to guess, I would say I-10 east of Tucson or West Texas. I could be very wrong though.

Its real, its been across the internet and back for over a year now. Happened near Hurricane City, Utah. Pretty wild.

You can check it out here:

Or here

or here,

Lots 'o places. But its a decent story, not an internet fake which is nice.

Not so bright of those rescue workers to place themselves between an unstable truck and a big hole.

Not Hurricane City, just Hurricane. And the locals pronounce it 'Hurr a cun' (among other southern influenced local pronounciations.)

Here's a link to an aerial picture of the accident site:

Not many people can call themselves as lucky as he is. So close to being a goner. Don't think he'll be driving around bends over cliffs too fast anymore. He might even need some psychiatric help.

Guard rails don't help everyone, I have seen everything form small sport cars going under them, trucks jumping over them, to motorcyclists getting cut in half by them.

wow, you've seen quite a bit of gruesome stuff over the years. Not many actually *witness* all these events.
