Embarasing Moments At The Office

Fri Mar 07, 2008 5:03 pm

Just happened - fresh of the presses...

While on the phone with client, i was playing with a black office paper binder clip - then all of the sudden i am given some information i need to jot down - while i look for a pencil, i inadvertently clip the binder on my fly. This happened at 8AM.

I have been walking all over the office with a 2" binder clip attached to my crotch...

Im so glad its Friday...

Hold on. You didn't notice a 2" binder attached your fly swinging free a few inches from your johnson? How did that happen? And how did it latch on?

There was no one around, so I passed gas in the kitchen area of our floor the other day... right after I did, a VP comes barrelling around the corner, made a beeline for the ice machine right next to where I was standing, and bent down to get some ice out of it, her face inches from my rear. Lord...

 rotfl  Thats pretty funny.

About ten years ago, I was working for a software firm in Edinburgh as a network admin. There was one developer who was a complete fool, always messing with his PC and causing us hassle. I see a trouble ticket come in from him for a problem that I had resolved just two days before, and he had gone and messed with his registry again and undone what I had fixed.

I see the ticket, turn to a couple of other guys on my team, and say, in a not-so-hushed tone...

"Did you see that ticket just come in from John Smith (not his real name, by the way)? That guy is such a f***ing moron!"

Their faces turned a nice shade of white and they began looking over my shoulder.

There was John Smith, stood just 3 feet behind me. He didn't act like he heard me, but we never saw another trouble ticket for him again.

Way back when I was young and pretty, I was listening to music pretty damn loud with headphones on. In the heat of the moment, I started to sing. And since the radio was loud, my 'hushed' singing was up in volume as well.

Let's just say that there are many things that I do better than singing.

It's not the weight I'm really looking at. But allow me to give you my explanation of the situation here. I'm imagining a binder that holds a sheet of paper sized 8.5" x 11" so basically your standard binder. And then it somehow got attached to your fly. What I'm not getting is how didn't it swing and hit your legs which you would have noticed, or, alternatively, how didn't you look down once in a while while walking and notice it.

My most embarrassing moment at work was breaking an 18K lawnmower two consecutive days in a row buy hitting metal posts that I knew were in the ground but which I just plain forgot about. Luckily the company I work for has two full time mechanics and while they weren't too happy, it was funny a few weeks later.

I still can't figure this one out, but back when I was first hired at In-N-Out, I was handing out a large Coke and something happened, I don't know what, but it caused me to lose grip of the drink halfway between the handout window and the car window. Dropped it, causing it to hit the side of the car, almost as if I threw it because of my forward motion, spilling Coke all over the car door. And no this wasn't just any car, it was a white BMW 740i, new at the time.

I about died. Seriously. I mean what do you tell the owner of a $70,000 car? Sorry, I spilt Coke all over your car?

That's a good start. Then grab a cup of water and fire it at the door and it's all good right?

Back when I first started here at Delta I earned a nickname amongst my coworkers rather quickly. Needless to say I had a small "accident" (nothing serious at all) with a knife and broke my department's 1,000+ day streak without any on-the-job injuries. Needless to say, I'm now known as "Slash."  bigthumbsup

I was pretty embarrassed at first. It's all in good fun though.

Finish it off with a spit shine and all is well.  Smile

Well when I did pizza delivery, I delivered to a party and this hot chick thought I was someone else that used to go to her school. When I told I her was not him, she flipped out and gave me a poor tip.

She was probably trying to pick you up and when you said what you said, you inadvertantly called her ugly  Smile That's my take on it anyway!

A couple of years ago, I worked for a client at his office. One day I said that I need software XY on my computer which apparently wasn't installed. To which he suggested that we simply trade places, so I continued working at his desk, and he at mine, since his computer came with the software needed. All fine and well. Then I had to use a file I put into the Windows trash bin before. I think I did blush when I scrolled through the window to find my file. Thank God it wasn't child porn (otherwise I would have sued him), but you don't want to know what kind of fetish he likes, do you?

Several years ago, when my hair was really long, we were in the buyer's office diiscussing the latest shipment of jewellery or something. Somebody said something and I swung around to reply...in doing so, my hair whipped around and lifted the accountant's Mont Blanc pen right out of his jacket pocket....
After that, whenever I'd come around, he'd warn everybody to watch their pens because my hair was a well-known pen thief.

No she was not. She was with her b/f at the front door and that guy well was a football player.
