Streaming Music Around The House

Does anyone here have any experience or advice on streaming music wirelessly (<--- is that a word?) around the house. I'm thinking of setting something up.

The PC in the study would host the music files. The study is pretty central in the 3-storey house. I get a good wi-fi signal all over the house from the router which also sits in the study.

All comments welcome, thanks.

Sean

What you're looking for is the SqueezeBox from Slim Devices...

I have one. It's quite brilliant.

do you want to play music only on computers??

If so, there are several software options available - you could run a linux setup to avoid windows licensing costs. However, if you are not familiar with that area, stay away from it - I've been tinkering with it for a year or more, and still haven't found a solution I really like.

The SqueezeBox is probably the best option... Slim Devices is part of Logitech, so it is a good brand.
