It's always possible to ask, but I don't think you'll get one. I know, it's the same for all EU countries (and Switzerland); the Norwegians, in my experience, are quite decent about it.

In my current passport, I have stamps from India (as well as an Indian visa), Australia and Japan. My old Irish passport had stamps from Japan, Oz, New Zealand, Taiwan, HK ,South Korea, the US and Norway.

My US passport (I was born in NJ of Irish parents, so I have to have a US passport when travelling to the US) just has US stamps.

I've never asked for any - I'm such a bad geek!

2 arrival stamps from Sydney, Australia
2 departure stamp from Sydney, Australia
1 arrival stamp from Melbourne, Australia
1 departure stamp from Perth, Australia
3 arrival stamps from Dalaman, Turkey
3 departure stamps from Dalaman, Turkey
1 arrival stamp from Antalya, Turkey
1 departure stamp from Antalya, Turkey
1 arrival stamp from JFK, New York, USA
1 Virgin Atlantic "checked" stamp from my departure from JFK
1 arrival stamp from Toronto, Canada

Naturally, I've been to other countries, but we within the Schengen-countries never get stamps unless we ask for them when we travel to other Schengen nations. :/

I'm glad more and more countries no longer stamp passports as I could never hang onto a passport until its expiry as the pages would be full.

The less stamps the better.

Its old world. We live in a digital age hence why more and more countries find no need to stamp.

Also having tons of stamps needlesly opens a can of worms potentialy for the traveller.

Well my current US passport has:

-one arrival stamp for Perth, Australia
-Australian electronic visa
-one arrival stamp for Hutt River Province
-one departure stamp for Hutt River Province

My old passport was loaded up with LAX arrival stamps, Bangkok departure and arrival stamps, and a Vancouver arrival stamp, nothing overly interesting.

Soon I'll have Kuala Lumpur arrival and departure stamps (two of each), and Bangkok departure and arrival stamps again.

Germany & Turkey. I also technically picked up France, Luxembourg, and Austria as countries visited when I went to Europe, but since crossing national borders in the EU is now like crossing state borders in the US, I didn't get any stamps except when I entered and left Germany.  frown

Asking for passport stamps on a.net is a bit like asking people to name every rivet on a 747!!  Wink

The best ones in my old passport are a Polish visa, Checkpoint Charlie stamp (GDR), and a Zimbabwe entry stamp.

I also have a Calais restaurant stamp in my old passport, which I did myself when I went on a day trip there when I was 18, having drank probably most of a bottle of French wine.

Yeah, I do usually and have had 5 Dublin ones on two passports

Quoting Ba757gla (Reply 4):

Don't bother, just use the EU line and ask for one, they very well might give you one but they need to write request on it.

Seeing as Jordan's new passport is only 3.5 months old, I don't have many

Dublin x 3
Shannon x 1

hopefully another Dublin one on Thursday, A Brussels one and a Berlin one in 2 weeks  Smile

Over the years here is a rough idea:

Plenty of US pre-clearance through YYC
Frankfurt about 6 times
Mexico (Cancun)
Chile
Argentina
Uruguay
India (plus Visa)

but the one I am most proud of even though it technically isn't a country:

Antarctica (Port Lockroy station operated by the UK)
