So how much does a Cab from the city centre back to the Airport cost in the wee hours of the morning?

Being that i'm an alcoholic and like to shake it like a Polaroid picture i reckon a mission into town might be an idea on the saturday night! Anyone fancy it?

Sounds good. I might stay @ the Malmaison in town so if I do, can be a place to crash.

Can I use my student railcard to get discount on that?  Wink

I've got a friend up in Manchester, hoping to see him over the weekend, so I'll ask him if he fancies coming out - can't see him turning down such an opportunity if he's free, he works for EK so isn't exactly alien to our hobby.

I seem to remember falling out of the bar at some hour after the trains had finished last time and we ended up getting taxis back to the airport. It wasn't cheap though...about £20-25 if i remember rightly....but i can't remember for some reason.

Hi guys,

I've been looking at our "trains" back from Manchester City Centre, to MAN and it seems that on the night on July 4th / 5th, they are replaced by buses from 23:00 (at the moment).

There is a huge gap however during the night on the morning on the Sunday, there is a service at 00:05, then the next one is at 04:15, arriving into MAN at 04:40.

Right just to keep the thread alive and update it. I've booked my hotel for the Saturday night now. I'm staying at the Crowne Plaza. They had a very good deal on which i thought i'd take advantage off!

Only a few weeks away now, looking forward to it. Anyone else confirmed their flights or attendance yet?

I might be going there but its unconfirmed at the moment. I should be going in the DUB-LPL ferry with the car in or around 30th June, evening arrival. Then LPL-LCY and will be in London and surround areas for around 2-3 days. Then LCY-EDI stopping Windsor and maybe doing a stop at Oxford and or maybe Chester/LPL or MAN. If I get the timing right, hopefully I get delayed a day, I will be there. But at the moment I'm still a day out around the 3rd.

Congratulations Dale!

Just updated the list, now that WOW has become SZ. I'll be staying with a friend in the Sale area, he might be able to pop along for a bit, but otherwise will be working - he knows a fair bit about planes, more than he likes to let on.  Wink

Would be nice to get to one of these Mega Man meets but July is always so expensive to fly from Australia.

Why isn't MYT332 and LHRjc on the list.

Its LHRjc's day of getting older around then and they are off to SEA.

Whats the plan for the Saturday then? Meet at the AVP or Level 13? Spend some time at the AVP... head southside if the weather is compliant? Airport pub later in the afternoon?

Just some suggestions..  Smile
