(1) People who randomly stop in the middle of asiles and just stand there-- If you see something you want, move to one side, retreive it from the shelf, then continue on. If you're unsure of what you want, either ensure that there's not someone behind you trying to get past or move to one side while examining the shelf to make your selection.
Particularly annoying when the cause of the abrupt stop is someone deciding that they need to send a text message right now, completely oblivious to the people behind them.
These people do the same thing while driving and I'm always tempted to hit them but afraid my insurance will go up. Today I was about this >< far from doing it "accidentally" with my shopping cart.
(2) Families who span the entire width of the asile and just kind of hang out. Kind of like #1 but much worse. While these people don't abruptly stop, they seem to have confused Asile #13 with their living room; despite seeing you coming down the asile they just kind of stand there oblivious to your need to move through their family meeting until the 6th "Pardon Me"
(3) People who use self checkout without knowing how to use self checkout Either the supermarkets need to provide "Beginner" and "Expert" lanes or there needs to be some kind of certification before someone is allowed to use a self checkout lane. The woman in front of me had roughly the same number of items I did but took 15 minutes to check out, again oblivious to the growing line behind her. She seemed to have difficulty with concepts like "The barcode goes on the plastic window", "you can scan the next item as soon as the first item has been accepted, you don't have to wait for it to go all the way to the end of the conveyor belt", and of course "when you're finished, hit the "I'm finished button" and tender payment. The guy behind me was really irritated by the time she was done... and for good reason, it took me less than 4 minutes from the time I scanned my first item to the time I was walking out of the store. (Yes, I checked my watch)
I realized as I was walking out to my car that I spent longer waiting for her to check out than I actually spent gathering my purchases.
Ok, so I'll probably get no sympathy, but I feel better for complaining
