just spoke to former a.net member Kazzie / PilotKaz, and she is considering making an appearance. She misses aviation since leaving and really wants to come back to an a.net meet.

She is currently investigating her option for getting there.

Sure is. It will make us look more dedicated to the whole plane spotting thing though, if we are out there in poring rain.. or just more crazy/mad.  crazy   Silly

Should still be fun though, as long as the visibility is good enough for us to see more than just landing lights approaching through a grey sky..

When are we going to arrange the first meeting place for Saturday morning? I'm not sure how well internet-connected everyone else will be this weekend with their iPhones, BackBerrys, laptops etc, but I will be away from any internet access from about 1230 tomorrow, so if possible could we please have a meeting place confirmed by then.  Smile

I may be tempted to tag along, don't want to seem antisocial to the rest of the group though!

On another note, the first stage of my journey is over and what a day it's been! Spotting at LCY, flight upto EDI on the elusive RJ100, airside tour around the aircraft from the captain, spotting at EDI and a look around the city. Now relaxing with a glass of Scottish Ale!

All checked in for my flight tomorrow, which Pawsleykat kindly pointed out I am on an earlier flight than I thought I was! Good thing he noticed!

See you tomorrow/saturday!

BBC weather have both Saturday and Sunday down as light rain... Weather Underground says both days have 30% change of rain. Saturday was originally 20%, now it's 30%.

It rained last year and it wasn't a problem  Smile

I rarely visit non-aviation nowadays, so I have just learned about this event. Unfortunately I cannot make it at this late stage, although I would loved to have met some people for the first time, e.g. Amo and BMI and met some others again, e.g. Plym.

Going to try and get my arse on the 10:30 out of LHR instead of the 1:30. I doubt they will let me though as British airlines don't seem to understand how to allow people to swap flights despite it being as simple as anything in the USA.

If not then i will have a good 4 hours in the F lounge to get smashed, so you all better pray that they let me on the 10:30 or i'm going to be on form tomorrow night! HAHAHAHA

Damn! forgot all about this meet, thought it was next week. Will still try and make it, and will potentially be driving up the M6 from J12 (and back down) if anyone needs a lift.

I rarely visit non-aviation nowadays, so I have just learned about this event. Unfortunately I cannot make it at this late stage, although I would loved to have met some people for the first time, e.g. Amo and BMI and met some others again, e.g. Plym.

Lets hold the next meet round your place so you remember  Wink

I'm just getting my gear ready, the weather is showing as good for the morning now, so might be able to get some shots in then before the afternoon showers. Sorry to Tom, I got distracted from talking to you on Facebook by a huge moth, but I'm sure I'll get to see you tomorrow  yes  Fingers crossed WOW is running OK still, nothing was broken as of this evening, so should be good to go, if you're still going to be there I'll see you in arrivals at about 20 to ten Lee?
