I love that really early morning Singapore 380 landing and taxi. It is the nicest thing I have seen since Concorde's demise.

Don't forget that it will be dark at that time in October though.

Quoting Aerobalance (Reply 40):
Hmmm, could take care of some business concerns around London the week before.... Need to make sure my schedule is not to busy.... For now, Maybe.

Would be good to see you again Tony - another night out in Windsor perhaps ?.

Very interested but not able to commit just yet. One factor in my decision is accommodations.....any suggestions for a reasonable hotel near LHR. Doesn't the Renaissance offer a "spotter package"? Is it worth it?

Is it quite sad that I've already booked the hotel?

That Renaissance Hotel "Plane Spotters" package... so I'll be there, all welcome to spot from the room lol...

... for a fee of £5 per entry  Smile ... Hey, it's not cheap, I still may baulk at the price and sleep in the terminal!

It's a pity I can't make this meet, as I would've taken you up on that offer... I've always wondered what the view is like from there.

And £5 to raid the mini-bar is pretty good value in my book!

Alas I have been informed today that I will be on duty in SOU at the Military base the weekend of 17/18 Oct, meaning I will only be able to attend LHR on the 18th, at the moment.

I will keep you all informed.  Smile
