Ghost was a good movie, but for me I will always think of Point Break when I think of Patrick Swayze. That was such a cool movie, whenever I'm flipping through the channels and see it's on it's one of those movies I have to watch no matter how far along in the movie I start watching.

Ghosts was his best movie to me. He fought the good fight, it seems it is never enough with that type of cancer.

Poor guy, he was already looking tired and worn out in the new TV show 'The Beast'. I'll always remember 'Ghost' as his best movie. R.I.P.

And my fiancee and I watched Dirty Dancing last week. That and Ghost were my favorite movies with him in it...

Rest in Peace, Patrick Swayze!

RIP Patrick Swayze. From the photos I have seen he looked like a nice person. Sad news there.

I have not seen any of his movies but just the thought he is my age this was way too early for him to go to the other dimension.

Very sad. Incredibly talented guy who was said to be really kind to all and was certainly dedicated to his family, remaining married for more than 30 years.

A great actor has passed away.
He fought a battle that he was not supposed to win i would say, and in a way it's nice for him that he finally got some peace.

My condolences to his family and friends.

One of my wife’s favorite movies of all time is Dirty Dancing, besides the DVD, she has both volumes of the soundtrack on her MP3 player. I also enjoy listening to the soundtrack and have watched the movie a couple of times with her.

Patrick, you fought a long battle with this insidious disease and even beat the odds in living longer than predicted, R.I.P.

Sad. Very sad. He was a very good actor and seemed like a classy guy. I will be the first to mention how I thought he was also very good in the movie "To Wong Foo..."

Best bad movie ever. A little Kelly Lynch sexiness, a ton of Swayze/Elliot macho, and one scene of ripping a guy's throat out.

Swayze was a far more talented and rangy actor than anyone ever really gave him credit for. Everyone knew he could dance and do the macho thing, but he was really quite versatile.

Yes he wrote and sung "She’s like the Wind", which was in the movie Dirty Dancing.

From what I have read years ago, he wrote the song a few years before he made Dirty Dancing, but either he or his publicist waited for the right time to release the song, so when the producers of Dirty Dancing heard the song, they decided to use it in the movie.

He will be missed

AFAIK Swayze only performed "She's Like The Wind". (I've had the)Time Of My Life was never sung by him. It's a common misconception that he also sung it, because the other singer (I can't remember his name) sounded somewhat similar to Swayze.

May he rest in peace.

I would agree. I remember watching it in Religious Education for the first time, and crying at the end with our teacher and about 4 other girls.

Dirty Dancing is a close second, in my opinion. My mum and I watched it last night in rememberance.

May he R.I.P  pray

I've competed at a few horse shows where he was also competing when I was younger and met him once or twice at one of the parties. He's a nice guy, really loved his horses. Not a real big fan, so I wasn't in total awe, but it was interesting. Sad to see him pass on. He played the best Drag Queen to hit the silver screen!

Swayze was a mediocre actor with a narrow range of expression. His most impressive and sensitive role was that as the cross-dressing drag queen, Miss Vita Boheme, in Too Wong Foo, Love, Julie Newmar. Not many of you have probably seen this movie: too many of you would be uncomfortable with the subject matter. He was, however, a gifted dancer. RIP my friend.
