Show Us Yer' Desktop!

Wed Oct 07, 2009 11:21 am

Unless I'm being blind, we haven't had one of these for quite a while!

Here's mine;

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Toml/desktop-2.jpg

I find it hard to find any desktops to my liking in this resolution, so I make my own. Taken on LN-NON CPH-LGW last month.

Show us yours!

I can actually post in these now because on my old MacBook I never worked out how to screenshot in Windows XP in 12 months I had the thing  Embarrassment

But anyway, my background is just another play on the "In Soviet Russia..." jokes that were invented by Yakov Smirnoff. I did it myself in an effort to cure boredom, so it's probably not that funny. It does make me smile every now and then though  bigthumbsup

Command+Shift+3 to take one of the whole screen, or Command+Shift+4 and then click and drag to select an area.

Or go to the help menu and type "screen capture" for some other options.

Same background as last time, I too have to make my own wallpapers since the resolution for my 22" screen (1680x1050) is not exactly common. I took this picture during a storm a while back. Also this time I'm running Windows 7 RC 64bit. This OS coupled with my overclocked Core i7 is a killer fast combination  cloudnine

Just go on your desktop and press "Print screen" on your keyboard. Then you can open a software like Paint or Photoshop and paste it in there (by pressing "Ctrl+V") and save it.

Only on a Mac. On a PC, it's just pressing Print Screen.

Here's the one from my Macbook. No idea if I'll post the desktop of my desktop computer though.

It blows all previous versions out of the water by far. No kidding. The 64bit is apeshit fast and it has never ever crashed, on me, which is amazing considering I'm running technically an unfinished version of it. It's all the good stuff of all the previous versions minus the bad.
