Preparing myself for somewhat of a flaming here....

Wouldn't this thread and the 2 preceding ones be more appropriate in Aviation Hobby forum?

I know anyone starting a flight sim thread here would be sent packing, how is this different?

Facebook Airline Manager Part 3

What I am try to find is a way to be the one who sells the dang fuel. With fuel running @ $1,300-$2100/1,000LBS for quite a while the profits must be quite nice.

Oh well, real world duties have kept me away form WhineAir for a bit (though most of today's flights were long haul and did not require my attention.intervention.

Well cash on hand is up to $23.5 million and the value is $4.5 million and that is W/O buying any additional virtual funds. I have to buy a good bit of fuel once the fuel price drops to a more reasonable rate and doing so will take a good bit of cash. I have reached my self imposed cash/profit targets and in the next few days I will allow myself the luxury of a small cash induced bonus.

I am going to wait to make the cash donation purchase until I replenish a bit of the fuel costs and reach the 100K passenger level. I expect this to take no about 2 days.

Sorry for the hit from fuel but the birds are a bit thirsty

With fuel prices exploding, I am going to run with my current fleet and build up my cash flow. I may even sell one 717 or stop one route. I'll know by midnight tonight what my plans are. I do want the 762's and 753's but those will wait. I love the fact I have made good business decisions and am making money and will monitor the fuel situation. Once fuel gets to $400 per 1000lb, I am buying a sheet load to last for a good week.

We are doing maintenance on Airline Manager.
Dear all. We are taking regular backup of the servers, and doing some system optimization.
We estimate that this backup may take around 1 hour.

Thank you for your patience.

Hope I can get "FirstWorld Airlines" into the cheap fuel deal when Airline Manager is working again!!!  worried

Woo blanking hoo!!, Just grabbed 7.25 million Lbs @ $400!!, sadly I am down to $20.5 million in cash and will have to make a few milk runs to refill the kitty.

I was going to get another 1.75 million LBS but the game went to update and locked me out...

Oh well..... what is a bored chimp CEO to do... hmm, send emails to the Am staff asking to be granted the ETOH concession??... I am working on a way cool livery/logo (sadly I have been unable to get the rights to the Tang logo so I guess it might be something that ties YYZ meets, a snowglobe, and a chimp together in a witty way

Oh look a bunny, driving the fuel truck away with a gaggle of angry a.nets in pursuit dhoping fuel is still at $400 after the "break"

Not at all  Smile

I think it's for the fact that it's a social application provided through Facebook. Yes it's about aviation and planes, but there's still the social contingent involved which dilutes that. A bit like the reason we have meeting threads in Non Av - although thinking about that one they might be best in Av Polls etc... now it has also become Travel.  scratchchin

Very much marginal, but just on the side of Non Av I think.

HANCOX Airlines would like to announce that we made an executive decision to not bother purchasing any fuel in the recent low owing to the fact that we still had 21,000,000 lbs from previous hedging activities. We are however pleased to announce the addition of a 7th A319ACJ to our ZRH base registered G-MWHG and serving our new route to HKG, this brings destinations served by HCAS to JFK, LAX, IAD, NAS, CPT, PEK and HKG.

Further to this HANCOX Airlines have also just purchased an A321 registered G-SUNA this is currently flying from our BHX base on a route to JFK targeting the tourist traffic between the two cities.

Fleet
ATR42-400 11
ATR42-500 23
A319ACJ 7
A321-200 1

Hornet International is proud to announce two new routes:

MLB-LPB 737-700
MLB-SAl 737-700

In addition to expanding, Hornet International and Boeing have announced a order for 10 737's which includes five 739ER models and five 73G's plus 12 options to replace Boeing 717's. HIA CEO has reported that the 73G's have exceeded his expectations in both the range and passenger capacity areas and will replace his aging DC10 with a 739ER that is currently on the PTY-TPA route. Further more, more expansion will come out of both PTY and MLB hubs. At this time HIA also announces the closure of the ANC hub. Staff have option of relocating to MLB or PTY.

I'm glad to announce that I will be replacing all my trans con and trans atlantic flights with 757-300s. Last Night my stock was $1.89. Tonight it stands at $2.27. I'll be adding 2 more 753s before I start to save for much bigger aircraft. My airline will be growing at a very rapid rate within the next week, so invest while the stock prices are still low.

HIA just took delivery of two 73G's and placed them MLB-Queretaro and PTY-DAB routes. The next 73G which will be delivered later today will be placed on MLB-BIL a route formerly operated by the 717. The 739ER which will be delivered on Thanksgiving will be placed onto the PTY-LPB route freeing up a 73G. I will retain five 717's maybe six for domestic flights to MEX, HAV, LIM, Manus, Quito from PTY.

Made the mistake of not buying enough cheap gas last Saturday when it was 400. Took care of that today though, 2 mil pounds should be plenty to hold me over until Saturday when it drops to 400 again. Next few days I will focus on building on my fleet and Norfolk hub.

I'm doing quite well, I've only had to give a couple of raises accross the board since I started. Cleaning got a bit peeved when I gave then a $200 cut from, well $200, but aside of that it's all going well.

Pilots: 108 ($ 700)
Crew: 163 ($ 600)
Mechanics: 171 ($ 600)
Cleaning: 97 ($ 400)

Operating the Russian types mean you need more of everything - fuel, runway, crew, vodka... the normal stuff. So keeping wages down is important.

My Fleet:

An-24 x 1 (to be withdrawn)
An-24RV x 3 (to be withdrawn)
An-148-100A x 12 (2 on order)
An-148-100B x 7
B767-200 x 3 (1 on order - interim lift until Il-62 & Il-96 are available)
Il-114-100 x 4 (2 on order)
Tu-154M x 4
Yak-42D x 14

My crew costs are:

Pilots: 88 ($ 700)

Crew: 131 ($ 800)

Mechanics: 92 ($ 800)

Cleaning: 71 ($ 400)

with a daily of $268,400.

Up to 44 aircraft now. Bought a 757-300 and a 737-900 today. It is a little tricky to figure out what to do next to be honest. Still want to get a 753 a day for my long haul/transcon flights out of SFO, but I am torn between upgrading my high demand F100/E190 flights to 737-900s or buying more E190s to open new routes. If I upgrade I start shuffling planes around, with the main goal of eliminating my 5 ATRs (those would be replaced by my Fokkers).

Any input on this?

Oh yeah fleet numbers for the day thus far:

5 ATR 72-500
3 757-300
11 737-900
2 Fokker F70a
6 Fokker F100 Tay620
2 Fokker F100 Tay650
15 ERJ 190-200

I found out thru the AM discussion boards the best days to buy fuel and advertising.

Fuel - Wednesdays and Saturdays GMT.
Advertising - Mondays and Thursdays GMT.

Give or take an hour or two with these times.

Based on where I live, the better advertising rates should begin tonight (Wed) at around 6-7 PM.

Disclaimer: AM could change this at any time so don't hold me to it.  Smile

Hope this helps.

GK International Airlines has had massive investment, and thus is on a massive expansion plan. So far, 2 Boeing 737-500s have been purchased to operate MAN-AMS and MAN-BCN, with a further ERJ145ER bought, to inaugurate GLA-FRA. Frankfurt is now served from MAN, GLA and BHX. More flights are planned from all 3 UK "bases" in the near future.

Right, this is getting annoying. My building had to be evacuated twice today due to some a-hole calling in a bomb threat. (I teach at a college, and sadly this is almost standard routine towards the end of the semester when term papers are due, or exams are being written.  banghead  )

However, Nassau Airlines is happy to report that these threats turned out to be hoaxes, and that no flights were delayed for more than an hour. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to travellers, but would like to assure the public (and potential investors... Wink) that safety and security are our top priorities.

For the time being, as long as our schedule suffers these delays, patrons of Nassau Airlines will be treated to free Sky Juice and Conch Fritters.
I'm an aviation expert. I have Sky Juice for breakfast.

My fleet/route evaluation:

The 73G works great as I can upgrade a 717 route to a 73G and place the 717 on a new route to test it out. Now if it does not work out, I will have saved money. Now when greater demand arises, my 739ER's will be there thus letting the 73G's replace a route served by a 717. I love both the 73G and 717. Now some routes will have to be served out of PTY for range issues like SCL-EZE and RIO. LIM, TPA, and BDA are within the 717's range and do not need a 73G but would not hesitate to upgrade should the route demand it.

Fly Dutch Airlines

No chopping and changing here. Rather a slow but very healthy and steady growth  Smile

Fleet expansion = 1 x Fokker F-100 RR Tay 650; 2 x A330-300  Smile

2 x Airbus A330-300
5 x Airbus A321-200
12 x Fokker F-100 RR Tay 620
5 x Fokker F-100 RR Tay 650

Stocks currently $2.51, up from $1.02 this time yesterday  Smile

And enormous reserves of fuel  Smile

Potential investors, draw your conclusions!

Zippy T. Chimp CEO/CFO/CV&TD of WhineAir is stunned to announce that we have managed to successfully deliver our 100,000th passenger to his/her destination. As a result the free Vodka and Tang service will be upgraded to include 12.75% more Tang in every glass. Well the nifty bronze 100K passenger thingy is cool as well

WhineAir is also quite happy with growth in cash on hand an company value. The latest update shows just over $25 million in cash on hand with a value of $4.9 million. I still have yet to buy any type of venture capital (err donation) I plan on donating a small amount to reward the developer for the work involved with running the site and as payment for the fun of playing the game

Hey guys!

I've been watching these threads over a couple days and decided to start playing.

Quck Shell Airlines

Serving destinations from CLT.

I'm using the 738 and EMB120. Needing some more range but still racking up the money. So investors look out, we are on the way up!
