Without a doubt it had to be "Pearl Harbor", that trashy movie that tried to be everything to everybody.
A love story for the chicks.
An actions/adventure film for the guys.
A historical (sic) film.

A total mess, historically inaccurate, blah, blah, blah, blah.......

What a waste of celuloid.

I saw the pirated version of this on Justin.tv

I wonder if anyone started screaming "The Dark Knight did it! The Dark Knight did it!" whenever they shot a scene of this movie (Those of you that watch South Park might get the reference). I guess the person who originally pirated the film thought the same thing, because Gerard Butler had a joker smile scribbled in on his face during one of the scenes. Later in the movie, a poorly edited Batman mask appeared on Jamie Foxx.
No matter how random things may appear, there's always a plan.

I expected too much from it, I was very dissapointed. Anyone else find the "Jedi" reference a little bit overplayed in this movie? Once or twice I though it was quite amusing given Ewan McGregor, but they just kind of used it over and over and over and over and over and over again.

A few more ....

- Fast and the Furious 2 and 3 (I did like 1 and 4 and am not afraid to admit it Big grin )
- Public Enemies (expected way toooo much from Johnny Depp and Michael Mann)
- Terminator Salvation
- Babylon A.D. (what happened to the villan? Too many questions left at the end)
- Get Smart
- Hancock (why oh why would one include a sub-plot if they can't even get the main plot to work?)

I usually read several critics before I watch a movie in the cinema. So I rarely get really disappointed. I know enough that without reading a critic not just the Twiglight-teenie-trash, anything with Vampyres and Zombies is rubbish.

I usually love historical themes with REAL background. But when a stupid middle-of-the-road lovestory buries the real theme I hate it, like in "Pearl Harbour". Just the few minutes of the attack are worth watching, the rest is bubblegum.

Also for the bin:
Mulholland Drive (2001). I left the cinema.

Then they had to go and make a sequal to that? Ocean's Twelve? So is that to be the one to officially put you to sleep if the first one did not?

I'd rather watch 5 minutes of C-span...

I haven't seen these movies but I'll just judge them anyway because they're remixes of a classic and heard bad reviews about them.

Halloween (2007)

Halloween II (2009)

Just won't ever be the same without the original characters. Why they can't leave classic movies alone I'll never know.

Indeed, the love story did kill the whole film. A bit of a love story would have been OK, but making it the prime focus of a film on the attack on Pearl and the subsequent raid on Japan is just pointless.

I don't know but I remember that those film used to be done right a long time ago, but let's face it: "Pearl Harbour" is a Jerry Bruckheimer film, and he does most of his stuff for one thing only: make money, not necessarily for a good story. And that formula has gotten him a lot of money during the 90's and 2000's.

Just watched The Happening on blue-ray, starring Mark Wahlberg.

It was surprisingly crap! The story line was awful, the acting was terrible and indeed the dialogue was so incredibly badly written, so much so that the whole movie seemed to be a spoof of itself!

Surprising considering that most of the movies which Wahlberg appears are at least of some entertainment value.....Only redeeming quality was the anticipation of how much worse the next scene would be.

My copy is now a coaster on the coffee table and the dvd case has been thrown in the recycle bin!

Black Knight

there was a reason my kid brother and I were the only ones in the theater to see this catastrophe...brotha in King Arthur's time teaching a band to play Motown music?

Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003)-I took my kid cousin to see this for her birthday...I fell asleep about 20 minutes into it for good reason

Made of Honor (2008)-forced to watch this droll with my family during the holidays...even in HD it still was terrible

Be Kind Rewind (2008)-took a lady out on a date to see this movie, and as much as I like Mos Def, his acting in this movie really sucked (and I can't stand too much Jack Black, though he was funny in Tropic Thunder)

Dungeons and Dragons (2000)-snuck into this movie with some friends, and snuck out 10 minutes later

Anger Management (2003)-Adam Sandler stopped being funny after "The Waterboy" in my opinion, but Marisa Tomei looked pretty fine in the film

Four Christmases (2008)-ugh...I can no longer tolerate Vince Vaughn OR Reese Witherspoon after this

Nutty Professor 2 (2000)-this point, right here, is when Eddie Murphy ceased to be funny

Dreamgirls (2006)-Jennifer Hudson NAILED IT in her part, but Beyonce's acting chops ruined the rest of the film

Don't you dare put Robin Williams in that list with those awful actors! Sure, he has some pretty bad movies, but he has some pure moments of pure genius in both comic (e.g. Good Morning Vietnam) and dramatic (Good Will Hunting, Dead Poet´s Society) roles, which is something very few actors can do.
