I have bought two new 777-200 to start my "pacific theater" and I started two new routes.

I downsized to move forward. I had a fire sale on my MD80s and EMB190-200ARs. I now plan to continue moving forward with my A321s and 787s, eventually I'll start buying larger long-range planes and use the A321s on shorter routes.

Does anyone doing AM find it hard NOT to buy an aircraft once a day, at least? rotfl

I'm planning not to buy any more aircraft until my account hits $300 million, which won't be long, then I plan to order a few 739ER's, and some 787-8's. Union's ORD hub has finally hit 100 flights a day, and it'll keep growing, although I plan to start concentrating on my other two hubs in SFO and MCO. I have future plans for a 4th hub, and am working on 2 focus cities as well.

Stock is still a bargian for such a consistent, profitable airline. Come in and invest!

Tell me about it! I bought 20 aircraft today I think. My account went from $260 mil+ to less than $20 mil at a time (aircraft + advertisement for 100+ routes, really did cost me an arm and a leg....so to speak).

I'm going to try not to buy any aircraft for new routes, but buy some to replace some of the currently fleet as several C-checks are approaching.

I cant find a way through the iPhone FB app, but i do have an alternate way.
Using the safari browser,log in to FB then AM. Then using the + button at the bottom of the screen, you will have the option of adding the link to the main screen as an icon. And when you want to use it, just click on the icon and it will take you to AM, although you might have to log in.

I just open http://apps.facebook.com/airline_manager in Safari? It'll ask you to log in and voila...

It seems to be about 400 hours with my Boeing fleet of 757's and 767's.

At 400 hours. You will get an email in your AM that the aircraft requires a C-check. The aircraft in question will be listed under 'maintenance'.

Oh my I would have to do some serious Vodka and Tang drinking if you were to walk away W/O giving me time to cash out my $ million in profits. I have to agree that right now profits simply roll in with each batch of flights sent aloft and the game is getting a bit repetitive. In addition the outrageous maintenance costs (another $ 96,000.00 for a low tire pressure!) are starting to make me want think if it is worth it to continue.

Did I mention the multiple loading of white screens and other assorted bugs...

WhineAir is as usual in a state of continued fleet, route and profit growth. Current cash on hand is just bit over $490 million with a value of $106 million. I will continue to plod ahead as my goal is to hit $ 1 Billion in cash on hand and have a couple of A380 flying about

That's what I do.... easier than using Safari and logging in every 10 minutes...hehe.

Cubano Express continues its expansion.

Two major developments, all Tu-154s to Canada have been replaced by Tu-204s per our agreement with the CAA. The Tu-154s have been deployed on new routes to Lima, Peru and Guadalajara, Mexico.

Second we've opened our first long haul route, utilizing an IL-62MK with nonstop service to Moscow-Domedovo.

Does anybody else have issues with Dassault Mercure. I have about 150 flights a day with 15 planes get about 2 breakdowns per day. Each repair is about $100000. I dont have that many problems with Russian metal.

Slapper Airlines has been expanding quite fast this week.

We have already achieved our share price target for the 24th of December on the 22nd of December with shares now at $5.12. We would expect this to be in the region of $7 by the 1st of January, although there will be a reducing flying programme over Christmas and we may carry our millionth passenger by the end of the year.

The fleet has been reduced to 4 types and will stay at that for a while. We now operate 2 Airbus 330-200's, 18 Airbus 320-200's, 32 Embraer ERJ 190-100's and 44 ATR 72-600's. C-checks are being dealt with on the older parts of the fleet.

In addition to our hub at BHX which has seen a number of new shorthaul routes, we have expanded our focus city at EDI and opened a new focus city at LGW. There will be further expansions for EDI and LGW in the next week, but any expansion at BHX will either be long haul or subject to new route authorities being gained.

All routes are advertised and catered for and we have enough fuel to operate for a week in reserve, although we will be "topping up" with the usual effects on share price.

I finally caved a little while ago and have been playing this on and off ever since. I started off with a hub in DKR with a 738 and grew to add 10 ATR props serving the region. I then sold off some props and grew my 737 fleet as they are more versatile and of course better yielding.

I found that selling aircraft is very costly so rather than doing that once I have a core of routes going I upgrade them and move the smaller frames to new satellite hubs or new routes.I have set up defacto hubs elsewhere (HAM and then YQB) as my operation has grown. My next steps are getting heavies to start longhauls to the far east and Australia. Might be time for an airbus or two.

WhineAir is pleased to announce the appointment of 1974 Buffalo Sabre draft choice Taro Tsujimoto to become our new CFO/COO. Z. The Chimp will remain CEO for the foreseeable future.

WhineAir has added even ,ore routes and flying machines. This has allowed our profits to grow in a rather nifty way.

Sadly WhineAir had to purchase 55 million Lbs of fuel to keep the above mentioned flying machines hmm err .. well flying. This resulted in a modest stock hit that should be resolved in the near future.

Moving from sad to disappointed... WhineAir continues to voice it's displeasure with the repeated and overpriced maintenance costs that drive me bananas. Today's hits include two more low tire pressures for $83,000.00 and $78,000.00. Did I mention the $97,000.00 for yet another glide-scope issue.

Oh well I am still plodding on and raking in $60 million+/day and I expect those numbers to grow until I reach the mega A380 fleet...(or I get too angry about the maintenance fess and pack it in..)

I just purchased 150 mil lb of fuel. Now the total reserve is over 462 mil lbs Big grin

Stock took a slight hit: it went to $44.89 from $45.40....but I have some long haul flights coming due, so it should come back up Wink

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I don't have the time to look through all the threads right now (busy time at work). Does anyone know if there is a way to "pause" the game? I have other apps where you can go into "holiday mode" where everything is left as is until you come back. I am going on vacation in January and am freaking out about everything going to hell because the flights aren't going LOL!

Today's downtime was quite a bit longer than normal. I had an extended period of white pages loading. I was sitting on 7,500 meals and when I finally got the page to load I only had 7 minutes to send off my flights. ( I know I cut it close but I got out of work late as there were many bambinos today.I managed to sell all the meals with about 3 flights and 4 minutes to spare

Does anyone know if there is a way to "pause" the game? I have other apps where you can go into "holiday mode" where everything is left as is until you come back. I am going on vacation in January and am freaking out about everything going to hell because the flights aren't going

Me too. I am going away tomorrow for a few days. But I have an iPhone 3GS. Problem solved biggrin

Fleet update:

We have decided to add capacity to all short haul flights by replacing both the BAe146 and ERJ 192 with MD81. This has lead to a severe drain in our finances, but it was well worth it, as those routes are much more profitable now. Our MD81 fleet now stands at 19 planes (soon to be 20, as there is one BAe146 that still has to be replaced).

In other news, we have inaugurated our first asian route with a A333 to Chennai, India. Our African network has also expanded, with a new B788 to Maseru, Lesotho.
However, we should do some route optimization in the next few days, as demand on some routes has fallen below acceptable levels.

Our stock is still going up fast, currently at 8.33. We are confident that it will surpass the 10 mark very soon.
