Quoting tbar220 (Reply 6): "Hey Farva what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy shit on the walls and the mozzarella sticks? " |
Quoting Springbok747 (Reply 11): They sound more like pornos..are they actual non-porno movies? |
Quoting stasisLAX (Reply 14): Angels and Demons - it was OK for a free cable movie! |
Quoting tbar220 (Thread starter): I absolutely love this one. Pulp Fiction! |
Quoting seb146 (Reply 30): I watched that movie about 10 times and I still don't get it nor do I care for it. It just gets worse and worse with every watching. Some people just go nuts over that movie. |
Quoting seb146 (Reply 30): The last two that I have seen are "Rough Workout" and "Breakfast at Tiffanys." I have to mention them both because "Rough Workout" is actually the last movie I watched, but it appeals to a very *ahem* limited audience. |

Quoting Superfly (Reply 33): I am with you on that. Pulp Fiction and all other Qunten Tarrantino fils are so over-rated. |
Quoting OA412 (Reply 31): Hmm, let me guess, a family film? |

Quoting seb146 (Reply 36): Jackie Brown was very good. Pam Grier is very pretty and the story line and music are great. |
Quoting srbmod (Reply 35): I'm a fan of his films, while some of them are definitely over the top, others are actually pretty decent films. "Jackie Brown" is a really good movie that unfortunately was QT's first film after "Pulp Fiction" (There are films he wrote and/or appeared in after "Pulp Fiction" as well as directing one segment of "Four Rooms".) and folks that were expecting another "Pulp Fiction" or "Reservoir Dogs" were disappointed. He really couldn't go over the top with the source material since the movie was based on the novel "Rum Punch" by Elmore Leonard. When he's left to his own devices, he can definitely be out there with his movies to the point of being improbable. But that improbability at times is what makes his movies interesting. There's times where I wished he'd do another film based on source material written by someone else. Although the rumors that he's keen on remaking "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" have me worried. That's a classic B-movie that doesn't need to be remade. |
Quoting YooYoo (Reply 21): I''ve rented District 9 for tonight. |
Quoting AirframeAS (Reply 42): I heard that movie sucked big time. One guy that my friend has on FB said that watching to while drunk was even worse. Not sure what that meant. |
