I'm no professional photographer, but I like it! However, I'd go ahead and straighten it (make the horizon horizontal)

This is probably my favorite that I've taken. It's taken from Redondo Beach, looking northwest up the coast to Malibu a little while after sunset:

I'm watching Jeopardy. The category is worst Madonna songs. "This one from 1987 is terrible".

This is my favorite of my sunset shots: http://tisdigital.com/TISDIGITAL.com/NATURE/Pages/Landscapes.html#6

My trick for getting images like this: Center-spot metering on the sun, in aperture priority, with an exposure compensation of -1.0.

I almost always have trouble taking sunset pictures. They never seem to turn out right for me, likely because I just don't know 100% what I'm doing. Anyway, here are two personal ones I like:

A rather risky hobby of mine is pointing very long lenses at the sun as it sets. Don't have any of those to hand right now, but generally I prefer landscape pictures, especially the colours in the sky just after sunset. The colour of the sky at sunrise can be just as spectacular as well - even in the middle of a city.

Thanks! I'll bear that in mind for when I get a camera with spot metering capabilities!

Sunset pics are always great, but I like something in the foreground to add interest or context. Some of my faves:
