Hi all,

So finally WM is over ( although your team played attractive football!) and now I can concentrate on Bundesliga again.

As you know Austria is always first and so we have played 2 rounds already and Rapid fantastically is on the last place with 2 losses. WTF I can´t believe it and today is Dosenschiessen ( Red Bull is coming to VIE).

Apart from that, more important than Rapid is now my little girl, Sarah. She was born on Tuesday in a rather dramatic way but everything is fine now.

So I am looking forward to a fantastic season again!

Schalke just won their first and only trophy of the season after Raul sinks the FC Bayern D-Team.

I hope that this was the first and also the last title for Schalke this season.

Tomorrow at work I will probably hear something like "We have the best Bundesliga player" from all those Schalker morons. Let's wait and see if he can score like today when the real FC Bayern or similar strong teams are coming to Gesindelkirchen.

And can somone please tell me why the Liga-total Cup wasn't shown on Liga-total? I switched from Sat1 to Liga-total because I wanted to watch the tournament without commercials but on Liga-total was only the house advertising running.

There are a few other interesting test games next week. On Wednesday we have the BVB vs. ManCity and on Friday we have Bayern vs. Real Madrid. Actually I wanted to fly to Munich together with my girlfriend to watch the game vs. Real but I was too late, all tickets were already sold out when I looked on the Bayern website last week.

Let them and hopefully you will be able to remind them of this once the season is over next summer.   The beauty of Schalke fans is that year after year they never learn from their mistakes - which is boasting about the quality of their team and title aspirations before the season has even started.

Anyways, three weeks to go till the Bundesliga start. I for one can't wait.

Sport1 will show the BVB-ManCity game (next Wedneday from 19:50h). I just noticed that I confused the date of the Bayern-Real game, it is not next Friday but on Friday 13, the ZDF will show the game. On the very same weekend is also DFB Pokal, so we have football on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Then a three day break and then Bundesliga!

I think that they switch it off during summer and winter breaks. A friend also told me that he can't access Liga-total via his iPhone. I think that T-Mobile will make sure that it will work again on the first matchday this time, last season they had massive problems with their Liga-total mobile phone stream on the first matchday, almost nobody was able to watch it.

Bad news for Bayern, Robben has to take a two months break because of a muscle rupture (article here). I would puke when I would be Robben, the season starts in 16 days but he can't play.

Dr Müller-Wohlfahrt has severely criticised the doctor who previously treated Robben before the World Cup. He complains that the healing was rushed, and now Arjen Robben is suffering the consequences of it along with the FC Bayern

I heard the same on L1VE this evening. And I would not wonder when this is true, the Dutch team needed him ASAP during the World Cup. Now it is bad for Bayern and bad for him.

There is football tonight, not a simple test- or friendly game but an Europa League playoff game.    The VfB Stuttgart welcomes Molde FK and the VfB better wins this. The ZDF will show the game at 20:15h.

I am looking forward to tonight!

Well, that was a pretty poor performance from the VfB but fortunately they made it into the playoff round in the last seconds of the game! Tomorrow is the drawing for the Champions and Europa League games. I am really curious where I have to travel to see Borussia Dortmund's away game. Tel Aviv would be nice (furthest away from here) but I wouldn't mind some Spanish club either (Fiesta after the game). Hopefully not some club in Eastern Europe (Russia would be interesting though)!

First title for Bayern, nothing for Schalke... I hope that continues this season.  The first half was utterly boring but the second one was quite watchable.

The football free weekends are finally over. Next weekend is Pokal and then begins the Bundesliga! I am really looking forward to the upcoming Friday evenings, my girlfriend is usually at her volleyball training so I can watch the Friday evening games while having a few beers.

Good news, the Bundesliga Tippspiel is online at Tippklick.de. I just founded the team "Airliners.net" and every Bundesliga fan is welcome to join. One thing: I only want people in our team who are willing to play every week or even twice a week (when there is an "Englische Woche") because I want to win something this time! Another thing: We should not make the team too large, I would say that the max. amount of players is six - I am already in and two spots are already reseved for Aviationmaster and LTU932 - so there are acutally three spots left (DAL767400ER, come on, join!!!).

I also noticed that I could log in with my old username and password, I am sure you guys can do the same when you remember your old username and password. I have no clue how you guys can join my team, I think you have to search for the "Airliners.net" team and apply then. I will activate your accounts ASAP.

Yeah, these guys are also my favorites and I hope that they will join! So we have:

- Sabena332
- LTU932
- Aviationmaster (reserved spot)
- ZakHH (reserved spot)
- FRACO7X (reserved spot)

EDIT:

- DAL767400ER (also reserved spot)
- Roland (username?) (also reserved spot)

So there is one left!

Hey guys I´m back. I already have made an account and applied for the team!

It is time for some serious Bundesliga games. Can´t wait until Friday!!!

We as FSV supporters had once more a very interesting summer break. Again a complete new team for the third Bundesliga season. At least we could keep a handful of key players. Will see if the new players can replace the old ones. I hope the management did a good job with our new players. At least in the economic sense a well done job so far considering that the club had less money available compering to last year.

Will have to keep an eye on this development, as this is getting a problem of many clubs nowadays (Bielefeld, KSC, RWE,.....). Here a quite sad article:

The situation at RWE is really bad. There was also an article in our local WAZ newspaper some weeks ago. They are shortly before the bankruptcy. It is indeed quite sad to see that old traditional clubs like RWE or Arminia are doing so bad. I didn't know however that the KSC has similar problems... unbelievable actually, it is not too long ago that they played in the 1. Bundesliga.

I can't believe that, the German U21 team (acting European champion) just lost with 1:4 vs. Iceland!  Wow! That was it, now they can definitely forget the attendance at the next U21 European Cup. Now let's see what our A national team is doing vs. Denmark... well, nobody cares actually, it is just a meaningless friendly.

Wait a moment... they are currently showing the Mexico-Spain game on ZDF and Wolf-Dieter Poschmann is the commentator of the game. So did the ZDF really sent him down to Mexico City to comment only the second half of the game? It is so apparently, he just said: "Hier in Mexiko Stadt".

In-fucking-credible!

And I guess that the ZDF didn't pay Economy or Business Class but rather First Class for him.

I'll send an eMail to the ZDF right now to ask if he was indeed there only to comment the second half of the game. I doubt that I will get an (honest) answer!

You know what's really ironic? It's the fact that it's the Pokalwochenende, and the ZDF has decided to schedule a Carmen Nebel show for this saturday. Why didn't they schedule that crap for last week? So, expect the Sportstudio to run late tomorrow!

I can't understand the ZDF either. On Wednesday the sent Mr Poschmann half around the world to comment only the second half of a totally uninteresting football game and the following weekend they piss every football fan off by airing Ms Nebel's granny show before the Sportstudio. Totally ridiculous decisions!

I don't think that the ZDF sent a commentator all the way to MEX just for a game - but you never know with state television.   If he really was at the Azteca, then that is indeed a huge waste of tax money. Mr Poschmann was most likely commenting the game from the studio while pretending to be in the Azteca. That is all Champions League games have been commented here in Switzerland on SF since last year due to budget reasons.

I was totally surprised when I saw that TVE was broadcasting the game, since they've never ever shown a Spain game (not even qualifiers) during the 8 years that we've had the channel. So in the end I watched the 90 minutes there.

I hope so! But it would fit that he was there, he won't moderate the Sportstudio tomorrow, maybe he needs a few days off because of the jetlag? I sent an eMail to the ZDF yesterday night but I didn't get an answer so far and I doubt that I will get one in the upcoming days.

By the way, the Sportstudio is worth watching tomorrow and next Saturday, tomorrow is BVB player Nuri Sahin there as guest and in one week is St. Pauli's coach Holger Stanislawski there as guest. You can even ask Stanislawski a question via YouTube, more info here.

Here are the lastest Pokal results (approx. 7 minutes before the games end):

SSV Jahn Regensburg - Arminia Bielefeld: 1 : 1
VfL Osnabrück - 1. FC Kaiserslautern: 1 : 0
SV Wilhelmshaven - Eintracht Frankfurt: 0 : 3
FC Ingolstadt Karlsruher SC: 2 : 0
VfB Lübeck - MSV Duisburg: 0 : 1
FSV Frankfurt - SC Paderborn 07: 2 : 0

I guess FRACO7X had fun in the stadium tonight!

And now over to the ZDF, Bayern vs. Real! That is what I call proper riday night entertainment!

Indeed, the Eintracht won with 4:0 (Amanatidis (21.), Tzavellas (38.), Ochs (59.), Altintop (89.)) and the FSV with 2:0 (Tosunoglu (57.), Müller (83.)).

The SSV Jahn Regensburg - Arminia Bielefeld and VfL Osnabrück - 1. FC Kaiserslautern games go into the overtime, both games ended 1:1.

'll send an eMail to the ZDF right now to ask if he was indeed there only to comment the second half of the game. I doubt that I will get an (honest) answer!

Did you get an answer? I guess not!

Quoting aviationmaster (Reply 85):
If he really was at the Azteca, then that is indeed a huge waste of tax money.

I do not think that the GET fee is not considered as a tax. Please correct me if i´m wrong

Yeahhh! Finally the season started! What a great evening. FSV won and I could enjoy again some beers while watching soccer. Great start into the new season. Lets hope we can win next win against Bielefeld. Would be a great start into the new season.

Correct, it is not really a tax but kind of it. In theory has everyone who owns a TV, a radio or a computer pay it. I will not know how many people doesn't. For the record, my girly and me are paying it because we are mostly watching ARD, ZDF and Co.

My girly is also paying it for us! End of statement!   But to be honest I also prefer watching ARD and ZDF.

Indeed, even if Bayern now showed an England'esque performance in penalties   . Awesome game, just a shame that Casillas was in excellent shape tonight.

Maybe Bayern should just stop playing for the Franz Beckenbauer Cup, they never win it anyway.

Who cares? It is not something really important. The main thing for me was an entertaining game and fortunately I didn't get dissapointed.

Should we start a new Bundesliga thread next week? I would say that it is a good idea since the season starts in less than 7 days!

I'd be all for it, though it might be an option to also have thread elsewhere, considering the financial state of the owners of this website   .

Oh, apparently I missed something in the last few days (or months).

Yeah, would be indeed good to have a "meeting point" elsewhere, I love discussing Bundesliga with you guys and I hope that all of us can watch a live-game together one day. Well, many of us are on Facebook (sometimes we even start our own Live-Bundesligakonferenz there when we are watching football in different stadiums  ).

What the fuck was wrong with St. Pauli? We lost the match through a Standard, where the entire defence slept!

I hope Stani will chew them out in such a way that they'll think Felix Magath is a softie.
