What the fuck was wrong with St. Pauli? We lost the match through a Standard, where the entire defence slept!

I was very surprised when I saw the summary of the game earlier on TV, unbelievable that they lost vs. a 4th league team. This was the only major surprise so far, let's see what happens tomorrow (*cough, VfL Bochum, *cough). Oh wait, I am just seeing in the Live-Ticker that Sandhausen kicks Augsburg's ass (3:1 so far).

And what a show from Leverkusen, 11:1. Definitely worth every Cent of the entrance fee.

And now I have to kill some time until the Sportstudio begins. Currently I am watching a re-run of the Germany-Italy semi-final game of 2006 on ESPN Classic.

It will be a long wait, because Carmen Nebel is on tonight.

And guess who is on next week before the Sportstudio... not Gottschalk but Andre Rieu (sp?). So expect the Sportstudio late again on the first matchday of the season 2010/2011.

Augsburg managed a 3:3, the game will go into the overtime now. Elversberg-Hannover and Braunschweig-Fürth are going into the overtime as well after both games ended without a goal. Gladbach managed a 3:1 victory and is in the next round.

And as I already expected... Kickers Offenbach kicked the VfL Bochum's ass with 3:0. Great Mr Funkel, it was already a masterpiece to go to the 2. Bundesliga with Hertha BSC, this season comes the real challenge: Going to the 3. Liga with the VfL Bochum!

There were some suprises this 1st Round.

Next up:

Europaliga 4th Round: We play Aston Villa this Thursday without myself in the stadion. My prediction is a 2:0 for us.

I also have a flight embargo currently given by my wife so I won´t be in BHX for the away game!

Although it is more than a year from now I want to remind me German Friends of the upcoming EM-Qualifier against us.
It is the 2nd, Sept. 2011! Please mark this day already now as we should meet finally. Planning early enough is always good.

Off topic: Can anyone of you tell me a second hand shop(s) for used camera stuff? I am looking for Canon FD L Objektive as well as Canon EF.

Tonight they're showing the CL qualifying game between the Spurs and BSC Young Boys Berne on Swiss TV.

A Qualifikationsspiel meet is a great idea! Let's just hope that a Swiss ref gets to head the game, so that I can also root for someone.

I wish I would have Swiss TV. No football on TV here tonight but from tomorrow on there will be football every day till Monday!

The countdown is running, just three days left till the opening game of the Bundesliga Season 2010/2011!

Thats a shame! You're missing out on a great game. Berne is currently ahead 3-1.

and of course the Retourkutsche:

So not that I am interested on any Schlaegerei, but the tension will be high and that makes it funny from the stands.

Looks like Nelson Valdez is moving to Spain. I read on Sport1 that he got a 3 year contract with Alicante.

Several sources are reporting the same. I am not surprised, the BVB doesn't need him anymore since they hired Levandowski and Kawaga. Great, now I already know where I will spend my next Christmas vacation.

And congrats to Mesut Özil, now he will earn a shitload of money by sitting on the bench in the Spanish sun.

Tonight is Champions League playoff, Sat1 will show the Bremen-Genua game.

There is a new comedy show on L1VE called "Sami and Mesut bei Real", not the football club but the supermarket chain. I really like Mourinho as the branch office manager, friggin' hillarious!

I'm going to watch the FC Basel - Sheriff Tiraspol game first and if it gets too boring, I'll definately watch the Bremen game.

Speaking of Bremen, last weekend I read an article online which claimed there were rumors of former Bremen player Diego returning back to the Bundesliga to join Wolfsburg. Would be nice to have him back in the league.

Indeed. I was a big fan of him and became even a secret Werder supporter when he was the playmaker there. He is definitely one of my all time favorite Bundesliga players and it would be great to have him back.

That reminds me of this jewel, when Michael Ballack was at Real...

And in other news, while I was at a Teamabend with a few colleagues, Werder Bremen won the Hinspiel of the Champions League playoff. One match, and if all goes right, Werder Bremen will return to the Königsklasse after a short absence.

I hope that they will make it, they played great football yesterday!

So, now the first half of the Leverkusen game and them off to the Westfalenstadion!

Laters,
