Very good in my opinion!!!! +50% on the Ticketprices is a scandal hochfünf! A Sitzplatz for 55 Euro is unbelievable!!!

I agree completely! This will be the first derby after many, many years that will not be sold out thanks to Schalke's daylight robbery. I mean, it is not just 55 EUR for a seat, you also want to eat something and to drink some beers.

Quoting OHLHD (Reply 99):
Patrick,will you go there?

No, this year I will stay at home and watch the game on Liga-total. I got the following eMail from my BVB fan club on Friday afternoon:

Hallo zusammen,

It is official now, Dortmund's Signal-Iduna Park Westfalenstadion is not only Germany's biggest stadium, it is also Germany's only stadium with an own club/disco in it: The Clubraum74 opened it's doors under the Westtribuene. Maybe I will check this place out together with my girlfriend on Saturday night. It is actually the ideal place to go after the Friday and Saturday evening games, we can go there directly after the Stammtisch area closes after the game.

I read that there's the possibility of a historic display of unity between Schalke and BVB-Fans. The reason: The excessive ticket prices at the arena. Sure, the Bandwagon fans will still go, but if the real S04 and BVB-Fans actually boycott, then that's indeed historic.

I don't know if the S04 fans will also boycott the derby but the BVB fans will be for sure. All BVB fan-clubs gave their tickets back and no member of any BVB fan-club will be there. See my reply to this thread above (#100), there I pasted an eMail I got from our fan-club president, all of us members decided to boycott the game and so did all the other BVB fan-clubs throughout Germany.

It is actually a good move in my opinion. The entrance fees are daylight robbery (55 EUR for a seat) and I hope that all Bundesliga clubs will think twice about asking for such outrageous entrance fees in the future. It is not just 55 EUR for a seat, you also want to eat and drink something and you also have to park your car somewhere near the stadium, for these things you also have to pay a lot of money.

I am not a cheap person but paying approx. 150 EUR (entrance fees incl. food and drinks) for my girlfriend and myself for just for 90 minutes Bundesliga entertainment is definitely too much! We will stay at home and watch the game on Liga-total.

But apparently are some people willing to pay these prices and even more, yesterday I saw two standing room tickets go for 111 EUR on eBay.

I really like the 1970's design of the club. It is an ex VIP area built for the World Cup 1974 (thus the name: "Clubraum74"). My girly and me will check this place out, either on Saturday or next weekend. Maybe it will even become the new local club for the BVB players (would be good for girly and me, it is closer to our home, a taxi would be cheaper   ).

Less than 24 hours left until matchday #3 begins, I can't wait!

I saw your reply, but nevertheless. If the fans from Herne (Ost) do the exact same thing BVB fanclubs in Germany have done, it would be a historic thing, something completely unheard of because for the first time, Schalke and BVB fans would be agreeing on something.

Good thing that at St. Pauli, we have the principle of "Mehr Stehplätze als Sitzplätze", which makes it somewhat affordable inside (and I bet even the VIP-Logen are much more affordable than e.g. at FC Bayern in the Allianz Arena). The only thing that can take this away from us (temporarily) is if we play in the Europapokal, but for us dreaming about it is close to Größenwahn.

In eigener Sache: http://www.sport1.de/de/fussball/fus...international/newspage_285333.html

Costa Rica can kiss its chances of making it to Brazil 2010 goodbye. Hiring a Hitzkopf like Ricardo Antonio La Volpe, who was not even able to complete the goals that were set in Mexico and Argentina, and who openly smokes during training sessions, only to go to a federation known of its favouritism to Saprissa (club that is owned by Mexican Jorge Vergara and which is constantly in trouble for failing to pay its Social Security fees all the time and hardly gets punished for it) and which has officials that could even top the likes of Blatter and Platini in terms of corruption. La Volpe will be out by the time Costa Rica loses it's first two matches in the final WM-Qualifikationsrunde (if he even makes it there). The post as manager of the Costa Rican team is a big Haifischbecken, and not even making it to the WM will save his ass.

That is all from this OT yet football related post. Now back to our regular scheduled programme, Bundesliga, Europapokal and Nationalmannschaft.

Schalalalalalalala.... drei Spiele und keine Punkte, das ist der S04!

One thing is for sure, Schalke won't become German Champion 2010/2011! Good that we already know that so early this season!

"Zweite Liga, Schalke ist dabei! Zweite Liga, Schalke ist dabei!"

You know, with this start, I can't help but feel that secretly Magath has been sent to Schalke by Dortmund and/or Bayern with the intention of driving Schalke into even deeper (financial) sh!t than they already were and in the progress free the Bundesliga from Schalke. The missions looks to be working so far  .

Man soll eigentlich nicht lästern, but since we're talking about Schalke, I say: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! That's what they get for thinking that money can buy the Meisterschaft! This also makes Magath the prime candidate to be the first manager to get sacked this season.

Getting Raul to join a shitty club for two years: €8 mio.
Buying Huntelaar off AC Milan: €14 mio.
Thinking you will win the Meisterschaft after investing a total of over €30 mio. in transfers with money that you don't really have and then bragging about your 'super' trophy aspiring team to your opponents, which at the same time has won an incredible zero points in the current season: priceless

Schalke's start into the new season couldn't be more perfect... und das ist auch gut so.

Gentleman,

I managed it to earn the incredible amount of exactly ZERO points at the Tippspiel so far. That means that I didn't expect any of today's and yesterday's results.

Unbelievable that Schalke and Wolfsburg are standing there with zero points after the third matchday, both clubs invested millions of Euros into new players. The same for the VfB Stuttgart, the lost vs. Freiburg today and didn't collect a single point so far this season.

Now the top match of the day, Bayern Munich welcomes Werder Bremen! Hopefully I will make a few points in the Tippspiel with this game tonight.

I just came back from the stadium. It was a nice game with a lot of action and with two goals for the right team.    Diego was dissapointing, I expected more from him, on top of that he should have seen the red card for kicking Kehl at the goal line, the referee saw it but only gave him the yellow one.

I am surprised that so many people from our team expected a victory from Hoffenheim. I was at a friend yesterday night before the game begun, he and two other friends were surfing on bwin.de and all of them put money on a Schalke victory. I expected a 2:2 draw but never another defeat from Schalke. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely not complaining.

We have the first game of the season 2010/2011 without any goal, all other 1. and 2. Bundesliga games had at least one goal but the top game Bayern vs. Werder of all things ended goalless. But I enjoyed the game despite of the missing goal(s), especially the goalkeepers had to work pretty hard.

And now we come to our weekly series with the name "Bitching and moaning about the Sportstudio". Why the heck do they have a triathlon guy as a guest tonight? Nobody knows him and nobody cares about him and his kind of sport! It is the fourth Bundesliga matchday of the season 2010/2011 so I expected a Bundesliga player or a Bundesliga coach as a guest.

I think I will do the same next weekend. I predicted a 3:1 victory for Bayern and the game ended goalless, so another zero point tip from me. Who the hell thought that this top-game would end without any goal? I have been to Munich to watch Bayern-Werder two years ago and there I saw a not less than seven goals (the game ended 5:2 for Werder).

LOL you just offended a couple hundred thousand athletes in Germany alone. As you said, it's the fourth matchday with many more and interesting ones to come. Besides we just had the triathlon world-cup final with a German favorite (and Olympic champion) that lost and another that just placed 2nd in the overall wc ranking.

How on earth can you draw on the FCN???    Leverkusen might be the next Duselmannschaft and I so hoped for Stuttgart to draw... I kinda like their executives and Schlacke would have been at the very bottom of the table...

WTF is FRA doing there??? I still bet we'll see them in second league next year.

Helmes had indeed luck that the ball went so easily trough the wall but it was an incredible strong shot, Fromlowitz had gone into the goal together with the ball when he had tried to hold it.

From what I have read it is a big surprise that Schalke has invested so much money. I thought they were almost bankrupt and now Felix bought players noch und nöcher??? They deserve their Tabellenplatz not only because they are Schalke but Money won´t buy you the title! AND they will learn that the hard way!

I was bit lucky with the Tippspiel this round, even putting a drawn on Bayern vs. Bremen. Let´s see if todays game give me some extra points.

Excuse me? I dont think so. We have much weaker teams in the league then the EIntracht. Of course we have seen seasons where not always the weakest team relegate but I definitely dont think the Eintracht will have problems this season.

Even though this could lead to an interesting 2. Bundesliga. Eintracht relegates, Kickers advances into the 2. Bundesliaga and we remain a fourth season there. Whoaaaaaa!

I have only even been to 2 live football matches and both were at the Dreisamstadion in Freiburg.

It is compact little stadium, 25,000 capacity with standing room only at the river end. Last time I was there I was treated to free weed as a guy in front of me lit a huge bong as the game started and I was right in the smoke line!

So far SC Freiburg have had a good start to the season, 2 wins from their first 3 games and 7th position in the Bundesliga.

That would indeed be an interesting 2. Liga. I am sure that the Kickers will go up to the 2. Liga, they won again yesterday. But the Eintracht will definitely stay in the 1. Liga, they already have three points more than Schalke or Wolfsburg.

I really like huge stadiums like the one in Dortmund or Munich but I also like these smaller ones because you are closer to the field. A few years ago I told ex Cottbus keeper Tomislav Piplica in Bochum that I liked his catch, he could hear me and replied: "Danke!".

Tonight's 2. Liga game is quite entertaining, there were already 5 goals after only 34 minutes. Cottbus was leading with 2:0 and the KSC turned the game within minutes, now it is 3:2 for the KSC. Not bad!

Current standing: 5:5!  Wow! I've seen over thousand football games in my life so far but never, ever a similar game like that I am currently watching. Incredible, simply incredible! Worth every damned Cent of the entrance fee!

Patrick

Edit:

And now Basler and Strunz at the Spieltagsanalyse! Liga-total, I love you!  bigthumbsup   bigthumbsup   bigthumbsup

'nuff said!

Slowly I would also fed up with Magath when I would be a Schalker.

Quoting DAL767400ER (Reply 112):
I can't help but feel that secretly Magath has been sent to Schalke by Dortmund and/or Bayern with the intention of driving Schalke into even deeper (financial) sh!t than they already were and in the progress free the Bundesliga from Schalke.

I am beginning to think the same!

I bet that 95% of Gelsenkirchen's inhabitants are wearing a tin-foil hat right now.

I just read here that Tim Wiese is a bit angry because Jens Lehmann criticized him on Sky yesterday night after the Champions League game. Wiese replied with: „Der Lehmann soll in die Muppet-Show gehen. Der Mann gehört auf die Couch. Vielleicht wird ihm da geholfen. Einweisen – am besten in die Geschlossene!“

Unbelievable, some UEFA dude said that the FC Bayern lost their UEFA Cup semi-final game on purpose vs. St. Petersburg in 2008 because they got bribed with 50.000.000 EUR by the Russian Mafia.

Uli Hoeness just said on TV that this is "das Ungeheuerlichste" what ever experienced in his life. As always I can only agree with Würstchen-Uli!

What a Traumtor by Müller  ! Absolutely awesome goal, and a well-deserved victory against Roma. And that despite the Roma taking the Cantenaccio to the extreme with the addition of "sudden shoe-lace tieing".

Oh well, 3 points for Germany, advantage against Italy in the 5-Jahres-Wertung, and Bayern suing the UEFA because the guy who accused them of being bribed was bought by the betting mafia himself (and coincidentaly, the person in charge who gave Ribery that ridiculous 3-game penalty for his red card last season...).

Unfortunately I couldn't see it, I have Liga-total (only Bundesliga and no CL; EL or Pokal). But I followed the game(s) via the Sportschau Live-Ticker, I am glad that Bayern scored twice... better late than never!

And that on top of that all!

PS: Rolf Töpperwien on ZDF right now, I am looking forward to the talk with him!

Guys, switch the ZDF, the best talk-show I have ever seen in my life. Ina Müller and Rolf Töpperwien.... so awesome, Alk, Sex and Football!

At the moment they are talking about "Penisschuhe" and Töppi is drinking Pils!

There will be some major asskicking by Würstchen-Uli.

Anyway, I don't think Bayern is buyable. Hell, they don't even rely on foreign investors like Liverpool, Real Madrid and others do. Vereinspräsident a.D. Franz Beckenbauer wouldn't allow it at all and, even in retirement, he would speak a Machtwort on that.

As for tonight's results, all I can say is: Auf Bayern war wiedereinmal verlass.
