Unbelievable, really! I visit football stadiums regulary since I am a little kid but I've never heard anything like that before. But don't get me started with the topic "police at Bundesliga games", you are already a suspect when you are wearing certain clothes brands.

Exactly , and when your mother-in-law gets you a new new hair cut, because it is summer and therefor you prefere it short, why the hell do I need extra screening......

No, No, No let´s not start talking about the police!

Oh, I just saw that the BVB plays in Pauli on the upcoming Saturday. Somehow I have the feeling that they will return to Dortmund with three points more on their account.

Why don't you come to Hamburg this weekend and we'll talk about it? I got the weekend off, so I have plenty of time for a mini-meet.

I would really like to make a trip to HAM this weekend but flights are probably too expensive already and I also think that it is impossible to get stadium tickets only two days before the game.

We can organize a meeting in Hamburg in a few weeks/months, then we have enough time to get stadium tickets and I can look for cheap flights. A visit to the Millerntor is a "must-do" for me this season, I have never been there (a new stadium for my "collection") and I really want to experience the atmosphere there with a true Pauli fan like you!

Where the fuck do those bastards get the right to perform a strip search? What happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? Where are our rights as fans here? If this was police, and the searches were done under a more discreet environment, I would't mind that, but private security turning TSA on someone is just plain shit! And from the comments that I've read, this is almost common practice in Leverkusen. Now I know which stadium I may avoid in the future.

It would have been a mini-meet, but I do agree. Also considering that our beloved government is trying to put more taxes as a way to milk us tax payers even more in return for a bitchslap in the face and to pay for e.g. the Boni of HRE bankers get more funds for their Sparpaket, flights ain't going to get cheaper, on the contrary.

And it is the complete opposite at St. Pauli, see:

Also macht was draus!

Bitte verbreitet diese Info in Eurer Szene und gebt uns Rückmeldung, auch und gerade wenn Ihr Probleme seht...

Wir wünschen euch eine stressfreie Anreise und einen schönen Aufenthalt auf St. Pauli!

I find that really great and I really, really hope that the BVB fans will behave there!

Kudos to St. Pauli for putting so much trust into the fans of their guest teams!

By the way... we can say "Goodbye" to Mr. Football in the ZDF himself! Rolf Töpperwien will retire tomorrow!   I m sad about that but it is his own decision. This guy went through my whole life when it comes to football games. Here is something to enjoy and something that shows you, how long this guy is already in the business (skip to 0:31): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFKU_fgyhNo&feature=related

We deserved to lose this afternoon. We had our chances, didn't take advantage of them, and the BVB has shown once again why they're one of the Spitzenmannschaften. The commentator even said that whoever let Shinji Kagawa go for 350000 Euros, will regret having sold him so cheaply and let's face it, Kagawa probably increased his market value by at least a factor of 10.

As for Mainz, sie haben die Bayern verprügelt! Bayern is sinking more and more, has lost that thing that made them Meister last season, and the Boygroup aus dem Rheinland remains on top of things.

Yes, Robben.

Is the Van Gaal effect already starting to wear off? In this shape they will lose more points and by the time Robben is back in action the Meisterschaft will be long gone. No wonder KH Rummenigge is so angry with the KNVB.

What a sensation this Mainz. Where did these guys come from all of a sudden?

Looks like Hertha BSC will be back in the first division next season again. So far they played 6 matches and won 5 of them. The other one was a draw. They are leading the second division table at the moment.

When he continues to play like that, he will be worth several millions at the end of the season. Dude is simply fantastic! There you can see that you don't have to spend several millions to get a decent player.

Fantastic football from then again this afternoon! It is not like they score some lucky one and rescue it over the time with everyone in the defense, they are making the game and they won (again) very deserved!

Quoting Wolbo (Reply 210):
Yes, Robben.

It can't be that a top team like Bayern is so dependent on a single player. Normally they must be the force of the league, no matter if Robben is there or not.

Hertha is playing great at the moment, the complete opposite of what they played last season. And surprise, surprise, they have more audience in the 2. Bundesliga than they had in the 1. Bundesliga.

I am currently watching the HSV game, Werder was leading with 2:0 but the HSV just scored twice. Not bad!

Perhaps, but then again the problem remains that Rummenigge accuses the KNVB of having been reckless with the injury of Arjen Robben. That being said, Patrick is right,...

Bayern needs to compensate. They usually do in the past, somehow, but it probably takes too long for them right now.

H96 just won their game at the Betzenberg in Kaiserslautern with 1:0. They are third of the table now with not less than 13 points! I am far away from being a 96 fan but I am happy for them because everyone of the so called experts said at the begin of the season that they will go down to the 2. Bundesliga and that Slomka is the first coach who will get fired. And what is now? Right, they belong to the top teams at the moment!

I read that earlier today (I couldn't watch it yesterday night because I have no Sky) and I am glad that they scored a last-minute goal. I hope that Werder and even Schalke will win their games as well tonight.

Cool, another week with nonstop football, today Champions League, tomorrow Europa League and from Friday till Monday 1. and 2. Bundesliga. That's how I like it!

Werder hat uns blamiert! Werder knows how to win against Inter, yet this time their crisis carries on to the UCL and it embarasses Germany in the Fünf-Jahres-Wertung in the process!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but thank God Schlacke won.

I agree with every letter you wrote!

There were times when Werder was famous for turning an upcoming defeat into a victory (or at least into a draw), also when it come to games vs. top-teams. That was definitely not Champions League level from Werder tonight!

Actually to be honest, they did not play bad football yesterday. I only hope that all that bad press did not wake a sleeping giant. Potential wise they have quite good players.....

Important, today is Europaliga and it is Rapid´s first home game against Besiktas. Keep your fingers crossed!

Yeah, Euro League tonight!  I hope that the BVB will win vs. Sevilla on a not so thrilling way like they did in Lwiw, that would be better for my heart.   I decided to watch the game at home, the weather sucks (12°C and rain) and I don't fancy the usual traffic chaos around the stadium tonight (it is already enough to get stuck there in a traffic jam on my way home in an hour).

Oh Mist we lost 1:2 but the 1:1 was illegal as our keeper had the ball in his hands and the kicked it from his hands, but shit happens.
Far worse were the Besiktas Fans as they lighted Bengalen ( which I do not mind) but through them into sectors below onto Rapid Fans. WTF, no behaviour at all, rather like primitive Vieher! We will get the hefty fine and nothing for Besiktas......

Slowly I am beginning to worry about my friends from Gelsenkirchen, seems that there will be no big Revierderby next season but only the small one vs. the VfL Bochum in the 2. Bundesliga.   The Karnevalsverein continues to play awesome football, what a game it was today, definitely worth every damned Cent of the entrance fee! And good that the HSV won this afternoon, they saved my ass in the Tippspiel.

The show continues tomorrow with the top games BVB vs. Bayern (with me in the stadium) and Leverkusen-Werder. Two games to enjoy before we have another Euro 2012 qualification Friday and Tuesday next week and the week after respectively. I hate these Bundesliga interruptions, let them play their boring qualifiers during the week!

And a general warning for everyone who wants to watch the Sportstudio tonight, I just saw that laughing stock Gottschalk is back with his retarded show. I expect the Sportstudio at least 15 minutes later tonight.

I just came back from the stadium. What an awesome second half it was, the free-kick by Sahin was simply da bomb, goal of the month! Too bad that I can't celebrate with 10+ beers as I have to work tomorrow morning. Anyway, I am so proud of this team, what an awesome season it is so far. By the way, has anyone seen what shoe brand was Sahin wearing today? If it was Adidas, what model was it? F50, Predator or Adipure? I noticed that more and more players are wearing Adidas shoes - even when the official supplier of the team isn't Adidas - since the Bundesliga has this official Adidas Torfabrik ball. It seems that an Adidas ball comes better in combination with Adidas shoes, Sahin's free-kick today was a prime example for that!

Anyone saw "Zeiglers wunderbare Welt des Fußballs" yesterday night? I was totally surprised when I heard Mats Hummel's voice on the phone. I called him after show to ask why he called Zeigler, he said that Zeigler couldn't show the two BVB goals because of some technical difficulties so Hummels grabbed his phone and called there to explain the goal situations.

I saw that part. They said that they didn't manage to get the feed from Köln to Bremen. Also, anyone read about this: http://www.sport1.de/de/fussball/fus...all_bundesliga/artikel_295219.html

Manuel Neuer is getting second thoughts about extending his contract at Schulden 04. I say that this could potentially be good news for Bayern. They could then finally get a Nationaltorhüter again, and Jörg Butt can retire and become Torwarttrainer for Bayern, as proposed when he extended his contract.

And today is Bild-Online reporting that Magath sold 15 players and got 14 new players just because of Neuer. Magath said that in an Austrian talk.show yesterday afternoon.

Errrr..... what?

It would be better for some people at Schalke when they would switch to the non-alcoholic version of their stadium sponsor's brew.

And today is Bild-Online reporting that Magath sold 15 players and got 14 new players just because of Neuer. Magath said that in an Austrian talk.show yesterday afternoon.

Can´t really understand what that has to do with Neuer? Did Neuer not like those 15???

If you ask me, Neuer ( not bad actually) is starting right now his quest for a new super contract. He is telling the European market that he will be available soon.

Magath said, that he wanted to give Neuer team-mates of international quality to play international games. Now tell me what Westermann, Rafinha and Kuranyi were... were they Kreisliga players?

The "Gelaber" of Magath makes absolutely no sense anymore. He already knows that he failed completely this season. It makes no sportive and no economical sense what the heck this guy is doing there at all.

I am already looking forward to the "Kellerduell" next week, Schalke (second last of the table) vs. Stuttgart (last of the table).

I wish the VfB all the best!

I agree, the crisis at Schulden04 fits him right, an European top-club with a lot of money will take him gladly. As Richie wrote above, Bayern is also my first guess to take him for a suitcase of €s!

I'll put it this way: Wenn Manuel Neuer zu Bayern geht, dann werden Nerlinger und Würstchen-Uli ihn mit Kusshand empfangen.

Hi, could I use this thread to shamelessly ask if any German speaker here who also is very fluent in English contact me?

I am learning your language and while for the most part have had no problems understanding the grammar thus far, I just have a question about context to which is hard to find material on (even in German, yes I have started to use that and in fact one of the best preposition articles is the German wikipedia version which explained it quite well). So if anyone thinks they have the time and a slight dose of patience (it's not a long question it's very short though I may have a follow up), please reach out. Vielen dank im voraus!

Derico.

What the hell is going on at the Sportstudio? Lesestunde mit Louis van Gaal, that's something completely different from what I'm used to.

Well, that's better than having a hammer-thrower as guest or having no Sportstudio at all on this Bundesliga free weekend. Now we even have a bit football to watch, interesting that there were also Euro qualifications games tonight and not only yesterday night.

Indeed.

BTW, I'm currently watching Rudi Völlers legendäre Wutrede (I'm talking about him telling Delling to do Wetten dass).   I believe the ARD should make a DVD with the very best of Netzer and Delling. They owe us that, given how we are extorted into paying Gebühren to the GEZ for crap like the Musikantenstadl and Wetten dass. Only exceptions are NDR (including Radio Bremen) and WDR, maybe even the BR (which brought us people like Waldemar Hartmann and Gerd Rubenbauer). As for the MDR, I believe even a rerun of "Ein Kessel Buntes" (and I'm talking about the DDR show, not the one with Karsten Speck) is much better than most of what the MDR produces for its own dritte Programm.

Don't get me started with that, it's a topic of it's own!

If true that Sammer finally leaves the DFB, then this would be great news for the Nationalmannschaft! Then we wouldn't be running danger of getting taken over by a man, who as manager and as a Funktionär is a washout. However, if the rumours of Sammer replacing Christian Gross at the VfB are true, then this is bad news for the VfB Stuttgart.

They just said in Bundesliga-Aktuell on Sport1 that there are rumors that the VfB will hire Christoph Daum as their new coach. The VfB's manager said today: "Ich kann das nicht dememntieren!". Daum back in the Bundesliga? Why not!

Oh yes, Felix Magath found apparently someone who is responsible for the current crisis at Schalke, he said that the S04 is suffering from a referee conspiracy.    Did Magath start to smoke crack?

I read about it as well, the potential return of our favourite Koksnase. This also could mean a return of the Daum vs Hoeneß rivalry.

I think this goes beyond crack. We're probably talking about LSD and Magath having a very bad trip... so bad that it made him paranoid.

That was great entertainment beside the games. I wouldn't mind a Sportstudio with both as guests.

I just saw this article: Eintracht-Ultras schockieren mit Gewalt-Aufruf. Looks like there will be a massive police presence around the game on Sunday afternoon. Hopefully there won't be severe riots, that would be bad for the entire Bundesliga.
