Ultimate Bundesliga Thread! Season 2010/2011 #2

The first half of the Kazakhstan-Germany game is over and the current standing is still 0:0. This is a friggin' pathetic performance from the German team considering Kazakhstan is #125 in the FIFA global ranking. I am so glad that these Euro 2012 qualification games are finally over for this year after tonight's game! I am so sick and tired that I have to pass on the Bundesliga for one week and that I have to watch this piss poor crap instead!    I guess I will switch over to Pro7 now to watch the Simpsons!

Couldn't agree more! But talking about pathetic, you should watch a game of the Swiss national team and then you'll appreciate the way the Germans play even on a bad night.

Is it really that bad? I mean, you have Alex Frei!  

A really entertaining game is the Scottland-Spain one I am currently watching. Spain was leading with 2:0 and now it is a 2:2. I will be a Scottland fan for the remaing playing time, they deserve to win after their comeback!

Belgium-Austria = 4:4! Definitely worth the entrance fee!

And fuck, the FC Barcelona Spanish national team (  Wink ) won in Scottland. The Scots have deserved a draw IMO.

Things really started to go downhill after the Honduras game at the World Cup. As for Alex Frei, he's had a bit of a bad streak (e.g. injuries) in the national team and hasn't scored in over a year now. But it isn't really his fault, since the Swiss midfield is way too harmless, uncreative and aren't isn't in any position to come up with dangerous chances, making Frei totally useless at time.

At least the team for once decided to show up for the game today and beat Wales 4-1.

I was watching part of it too. A shame that the Scots didn't at least draw in the end. I also saw that the Austria and Belgium match ended 4-4, must've been a crazy game too. And not to mention the Serbia-Italy game, which was suspended after only 6 minutes.

Christian Gross has been sacked. Personally, I don't understand the VfB. Since their Meisterschaft in 2007, things were shit. And most of the time, the manager gets replaced. Armin Veh was lucky, he only got sacked midway through the Hinrunde in 2008 and lasted longer than any other manager. Just a year later, Markus Babbel got sacked and replaced by Gross. Both Gross and Babbel were celebrated, only to get sacked as if they were just Feuerwehrmänner. I just don't get it. And if either Daum or Sammer get the job, then chances are great that history will repeat itself yet again.

Armin Veh has been on a decline as manager since he was sacked, Markus Babbel is having great success with Hertha BSC and could make the direkte Wiederaufstieg before we know it, and I guess Christian Gross could return to Switzerland. Honestly, at this pace, Stuttgart will fall and get the Abstieg as Quittung.

Oh shit, such games will be my end one day...... 1:0 - 1:1 - 1:2 - 2:2 - 2:3 - 3:3 - 4:3 - and the 93th minute we scored the 4:4 with one man less. Unfortunatly I have to say we lost 2 points in Brussels yesterday but with Turkey loosing in Aserbaijan the situation looks quite nice for us.

I also don´t believe it is a Trainerproblem in Stuttgart. Will be interesting who will be the next candidate.

Sounds like the current situation at the VfL Bochum. Tese is a decent striker but he is also useless most of the time because the midfield sucks big time. They should have kept Fuchs (who is probably laughing his ass off at the moment, coming from a mediocre 2. Liga team and now playing for the leading team of the 1. Liga).

Incredible really. A friend said today that we should have put 100.000 EUR on this game while betting that there will be more than seven goals. We would be a millionaires today.

From what I'm reading, the Turkish press has Weltuntergangsstimmung. I recall one of their papers in a Presseschau saying that even the team that got humiliated 8:0 against England was much better than the team that embarassed itself against Azerbaijan.

Indeed, I saw interviews with a few Turkish fans, all of them were mega dissapointed and they fear that that the Euro 2012 will take place without them now.

Oh, it is Thursday, I have to predict the Bundesliga results for the upcoming weekends. I hope for many points!
