Same here!

Quoting DAL767400ER (Reply 149):
Gladbach winning 4:0 against Köln? Seriously?

I never expected that!

Quoting DAL767400ER (Reply 149):
Stuttgart was leading 3:0 and only managed a 3:3 against Lautern? Seriously?

I never expected that either!

Quoting DAL767400ER (Reply 149):
Wolfsburg was leading 2:0 against Scheiße 04 and only managed a draw? Admittedly, the 2:2 by HANDtelaar was a clear irregular goal, but still.

That is a result I expected, I made 40 points with it!

And Werder-Frankfurt ended with not a single goal? Another major surprise!

Currently is H96 leading with 1:0, my prediction is 2:1 for Mainz.

Proves that Lautern has a great morale. VfB must be frustrated.

Well, so much for that, Mainz failed to win, against 10 Hannoveraner.

I think I have some dice somewhere that I could use to predict games, probably makes no difference...

Yes, that was the third game in a row that they lost. Tuchel said that it will happen but I am surprised that it happened three times in a row already. Leverkusen is very close behind them now with 24 points as well.

You are right, Sportschau.de is confirming that. In the Blitztabelle on Liga-total was it the other way around earlier tonight.

I really like that as a BVB fan and a Bayer04 sympathizer. It would be the perfect matchday when Bochum would win in Berlin on Monday night.   But I highly doubt that this will happen, Hertha is too good and the VfL just suck, the three points last week vs. the FSV were pure luck.

Strange to see Aue where they are. Isn't this their first season in the 2nd league? Would be great if they came to the Bundesliga.

No, please not, imagine a Saturday night Erzgebierge Aue vs. SC Freiburg top-game. Sounds rather like a match from the Regionalliga.

Speaking of Freiburg, they just won the game vs. Hoffenheim in the very last second. No points for me in the Tippspiel.    Now the Bayern Derby!

The prediction of the outcome are often so far off. I would expect Hertha to win, but if I go and bet, they'll lose or draw after leading for 89 minutes.

Speaking of Hoffenheim, have you noticed that free-kick man from Iceland? Only gets changed into the game when they have a promising free-kick situation. And he hits. Before this game, he had a ratio of one goal every 61 minutes. Would translate into 50 goals in a whole season, haha.

It is very important to have a man who is a specialist for standard situations in the team. Look at Dortmund, Sahin made the victory in the Bayern game perfect with his free-kick and da Silva scored the 1:1 draw vs. Hoffenheim with an awesome free-kick. I simply love goals after a good free-kick, this is the reason why Basler was one of my favorite players of all times.

Bayern won with 3:0. Gomez scored twice but misplaced a penalty at the end. I think that DAL767400ER is pretty happy about that, he predicted the correct result and put additionally a joker on this game, the result: 80 points for him. Now he is 80 points ahead of me.    Something must happen next week, I want to get away from the last place in our team.

I am happy now that I looked at my prediction again. Right after Gomez missed the penalty I was p!ssed because Bayern is now 3-for-8 on penalties, which is just pathetic.

But, on the positive side, Pranjic and Gomez both continue to look pretty good on the field, Ribery is finally back, and if they could now find someone to replace van Buyten, I'd be more than happy. No, forget that, if Schweinsteiger signs a new contract, THEN I'll be happy.

Now when I think of it... all games of the BVB and VfL vs. Cottbus I saw in the stadium were utterly boring. Cottbus was famous for playing ultra defensive and destroying the game. My personal "highlight" was a Dortmund-Cottbus game that ended 1:0 for the BVB on some Sunday in January a few years ago, I saw an utterly boring game (the BVB scored through a penalty) and I was freezing my ass off during snowfall and temperatures around 0°C. On top of that I missed my train after the game and had to wait 40 minutes in the snow, the result was a one week lasting cold with an approximate tissue usage of three packs a day.

That s*cks. Many teams (Köln, Duisburg, Bochum, Cottbus, Wolfsburg, Hannover, Nürnberg) bring associations like that game you saw (without the part afterwards). That's why I'm so disappointed every time they crawl up from the second league again.

No, not Cottbus! Not Aue, not Red Bull Rasenballsport Leipzig, not Hansa Rostock and especially NOT Dynamo Dresden. If an Ostclub wants to join the Bundesliga, the only one I'll allow is 1. FC Union Berlin (since they're from Köpenick, they're technically an Ostclub). It would be nice to have a Berliner Lokalderby aka Charlottenburg vs Köpenick, or Hertha BSC vs 1. FC Union in the Bundesliga though relistically, there's no chance in hell this is going to happen. Before that happens, either hell will freeze over or Hertha BSC becomes Meister

Throwing bananas on Olli's goal was a classic in the Westfalenstadion every time when Bayern came. The kick-off of the game was always five minutes late because Olli had to clean up his penalty area.

It's Monday evening, that means that I'll watch Bundesliga-Aktuell, then the 2. Bundesliga live game and then the Spieltaganalyse with Thomas Strunz who is - in my opinion - Germany's best football analyzer.

Even better that Hertha welcomes the VfL Bochum tonight, that was a 1. Bundesliga game last season.

We BVB fans will never forget Kahn's "legendary" Kung-Fu kick towards Stephane Chapuisat. Since that day, Kahn is the most hated person in Dortmund right after the complete Schalke team.

Better than Klopp?

Kloppo is already good but Strunz ist even a bit better. The guy is always well dressed, he is intelligent, he is polite, he has a clue about football and - most important of all - he can talk without interrupt his own sentences with "ääähhhh" and "hmmmmm". I can only recommend the show right after the game, they also have a guest analyzer there, e.g. Mario Basler, Hans Meyer or other well known Bundesliga players and coaches.

Quoting Thorben (Reply 173):
Let's see where/if it happens next season.

They won't meet for a game next season, Hertha will be back in League #1 while Bochum will stay in League #2. The VfL had a great chance in the 2nd minute but that was it for them until now. The same shit like last week vs. the FSV, they stopped playing football after 15 minutes which is rather typical for them.

Ha, ho, he... Hertha BSC!

As expected, they are leading with 2:0.

When I see this Luthe moron again in Bochum's goal next week, I will write an eMail to the VfL to question Mr. Funkel's brainpower. This guy is even too fucking retarded to play in a Kreisliga C team. Both goals were his fault, what an amateur!

Bild-Zeitung called it "Kung Fu". To me it looked more like a farmer kicking after a donkey than like Bruce Lee. Anyway, things like that don't belong to Football.

Hey, Hertha is to the 2. Liga what the BVB is to the 1. Liga.... Meister at the end of the season!   And yes, the "M-Wort" is indeed forbitten at the BVB, I was very close to the team on Friday night and nobody mentioned it at any time!

Sure, the season is still long but I am very sure that Hertha will make it back, they are performing very good in all games that I've seen so far. I hated them last season for their anti-football, as much more I like them at the moment for their awesome football! Babbel is the ideal man there!

As for the VfL, I would not wonder when Audistadt Ingolstadt will ridicule them in their own stadium next Saturday. Bochum will be the Köln of the 2. Liga then, the last of the table comes around and ridicules the home team in their own stadium. Well, I hope not; but I fear something like that, one point wouldn't be bad actually!

Hertha BSC seems to be benefiting from the fact that one Markus Babbel has taken over. Sure, Babbel fell quickly in Stuttgart (where he turned out to be a Feuerwehrmann, and a victim of the problems the VfB still faces today), but now he has the unique opportunity to build something new in Berlin, and he's taking advantage of it. The fact that by nature, as Absteiger they're automatically candidates for Wiederaufstieg, doesn't seem to make him crack right now. He just needs to make sure that things don't go too fast, or else there will be an Absturz next season.

Babbel is certainly a good coach. I didn't understand why Stuttgart kicked him out.

Every Absteiger has the problem, that the players often think it'll be easy to get to the Bundesliga again. In Berlin you also have this capital/largest city expectations, that they have a lot of success. Both together is an evil combination, but so far they have played good. I hope there will not be an "Einbruch" in the rest of the season.

We'll find out. Ingolstadt with four points from twelve games is almost Tasmania-level, but if one plays to arrogant against such a team, they can beat you.

Maybe they should have invested a bit more money into players instead of a brand-new stadium.

Hertha plays again on Friday night already, kick-off is at 20:30h because there is no 1. Bundesliga game on Friday night.

I think the old stadium was so outdated that they had to do something about it. Certainly they are getting a lot of money from the name sponsor for it. (BTW, I hate it when new stadiums start with a sponsor name, because there is no old name that we could use here. I think we (especially you) will always say "Westfalenstadion", regardless of what it is currently called.)

Against Osnabrück, currently 15th. I hope for a 4:0 for Hertha and let's see if Markus Babbel manages a face like Kloppo after his 4:0 at Hannover when the ironic journalist said: "Streckenweise haben Sie heute wie eine Ausswärtsmannschaft gespielt."

And has someone actually nocticed that the Nike company made idiots out of themself when it comes to the Bundesliga? I mean, they were equipper of the BVB (great last season, currently on place #1) but swapped over to Werder (0:6, 'nuff said). Furthermore are they equipper of Hertha (2. Liga), Mainz (three games, three defeats) and the SC Freiburg (Who?). Then was there also the story with the official Bundesliga ball that is - as we all know now - made by Adidas.

Their German marketing department must have an IQ of 25 or lower (all together there).

This whole idea s*cks anyway. They pay a team millions of Euros every year which they get back from the fans by taking 70,- € for a rag that should cost five. People even make free advertisement when they wear it. I haven't bought a jersey for more than ten years and I won't in the future, especially as it is changed every season. Rather buy a club fan t-shirt. So I don't care who supplies the team, I won't buy their products just because of that.

Be it the Imtech-Arena (football), ColorLine Arena (now named O2 World just like 50 other stadiums around the globe; handball and hockey) or Raiffeisenbank Arena (training arena), I'm only going to the Volkspark. Easier to remember than all the other names, and heck, even the signs at the bus and train stations only point to "Arenen" anyway, no names there either.

I have a huge collection of BVB jerseys, all of them worn during a Bundesliga/Pokal/Europa League game. I got them for free of course and some of them are probably worth several hundred Euros among collectors.

I would never buy a jersey from the fan shop because - as you already wrote - they are rip-off.

But at least HSV has EK as the main sponsor. There is an Emirates stadium, it is the new home of Arsenal Orwellondon. EK is also the main sponsor of Arsenal, and London is probably their most important destination, they are serving two airports there. EK also used to sponsor Chelski.

Other stadium names are for example "Red Bull Arena" in Leipzig.

Germanwings? Wouldn't Köln suit them better? However, they go to the 2nd league too often.

Yes, I am watching it and I also think that it sucks ass! Not that I expected anything else, it is just a friendly and there are a lot of new players, no wonder that it is quite boring.

But we can't complain about the 0:0, according to Weltfussball.de is Romania leading vs. Italy and France leading vs. England.

St. Pauli used to be sponsored by 4U, but since this season, our new aviation sponsor is none other than AB.

I think LH would have been a better sponsor, since they have the biggest domestic route in Germany, if not the biggest one in all of Europe (FRA-HAM), thus the bigger connection to Hamburg than 4U and AB.

Oh, and it's JHV in Köln right now. Overath will probably stay despite rumours of his demise as president of the FC, but of course one of the biggest subjects for most fans is how they can get rid of the widowmaker Michael Meier.

Also AC Milan and a lot more in football and other sports.

Ac Milan as well? Wow, I didn't know that. They picked quite a few European top clubs.

Quoting Thorben (Reply 196):
OK, but Cologne is a much bigger hub for them, isn't it? Would somehow fit better IMHO.

Sure, Cologne is a much bigger Germanwings hub than Dortmund. Maybe they will try it with the FC next season, the FC's sponsorship deal with Rewe is only lasting till 2011.

Quoting Thorben (Reply 196):
No, that's only interesting for BVB fans.

That is the reason why I am watching.

Großkotz

He is a very cool guy, not only BVB player but also one of the biggest BVB fans I know. I met him last Friday and you could see in his face that he was the happiest guy on earth after beating the HSV that night.

Quoting Thorben (Reply 197):
Argentina beat Brazil.

I saw it live, they showed the game on ARD before the Denmark-Germany game.
