Yes, that was the third game in a row that they lost. Tuchel said that it will happen but I am surprised that it happened three times in a row already. Leverkusen is very close behind them now with 24 points as well.

Leverkusen is actually already ahead of them, both with 24 points, but Bayer has better goals.

You are right, Sportschau.de is confirming that. In the Blitztabelle on Liga-total was it the other way around earlier tonight.

I really like that as a BVB fan and a Bayer04 sympathizer. It would be the perfect matchday when Bochum would win in Berlin on Monday night.

But I highly doubt that this will happen, Hertha is too good and the VfL just suck, the three points last week vs. the FSV were pure luck.

It is very important to have a man who is a specialist for standard situations in the team. I agree. And that is a reason why the VfL Bochum needs a few seasons in the 2. Liga. I like them but their last season in the 1 Liga was a joke, a team like this doesn't belong into the highest German football league! There is much work to do in Bochum!

FC Union Berlin (since they're from Köpenick, they're technically an Ostclub). It would be nice to have a Berliner Lokalderby aka Charlottenburg vs Köpenick, or Hertha BSC vs 1. Dynamo Dresden - nowhere near the first league. Thank god, I still can't see them. They played so bad in 1994/95.

It's Monday evening, that means that I'll watch Bundesliga-Aktuell, then the 2. Bundesliga live game and then the Spieltaganalyse with Thomas Strunz who is - in my opinion - Germany's best football analyzer.

Even better that Hertha welcomes the VfL Bochum tonight, that was a 1. Bundesliga game last season.

We BVB fans will never forget Kahn's "legendary" Kung-Fu kick towards Stephane Chapuisat. Since that day, Kahn is the most hated person in Dortmund right after the complete Schalke team.

Sure, the season is still long but I am very sure that Hertha will make it back, they are performing very good in all games that I've seen so far. I hated them last season for their anti-football, as much more I like them at the moment for their awesome football! Babbel is the ideal man there!

As for the VfL, I would not wonder when ~~Audistadt~~ Ingolstadt will ridicule them in their own stadium next Saturday. Bochum will be the Köln of the 2. Liga then, the last of the table comes around and ridicules the home team in their own stadium. Well, I hope not; but I fear something like that, one point wouldn't be bad actually!

Hertha BSC seems to be benefiting from the fact that one Markus Babbel has taken over. Sure, Babbel fell quickly in Stuttgart (where he turned out to be a Feuerwehrmann, and a victim of the problems the VfB still faces today), but now he has the unique opportunity to build something new in Berlin, and he's taking advantage of it. The fact that by nature, as Absteiger they're automatically candidates for Wiederaufstieg, doesn't seem to make him crack right now. He just needs to make sure that things don't go too fast, or else there will be an Absturz next season.

I think the old stadium was so outdated that they had to do something about it. Certainly they are getting a lot of money from the name sponsor for it. (BTW, I hate it when new stadiums start with a sponsor name, because there is no old name that we could use here. I think we (especially you) will always say "Westfalenstadion", regardless of what it is currently called.)

I agree! The same happened in Paderborn, their new stadium got the name "Paragon Arena", the sponsor changed after just one year, now it is called "Energieteam Arena". Too bad that it didn't have a real name at the beginning.

I mean, they were equipper of the BVB (great last season, currently on place #1) but swapped over to Werder (0:6, 'nuff said). Furthermore are they equipper of Hertha (2. Liga), Mainz (three games, three defeats) and the SC Freiburg (Who?). Then was there also the story with the official Bundesliga ball that is - as we all know now - made by Adidas.

This whole idea s*cks anyway. They pay a team millions of Euros every year which they get back from the fans by taking 70,- € for a rag that should cost five. People even make free advertisement when they wear it. I haven't bought a jersey for more than ten years and I won't in the future, especially as it is changed every season. Rather buy a club fan t-shirt. So I don't care who supplies the team, I won't buy their products just because of that.

Same here. Matter of fact, Volkspark is pretty much the term I use for all three arenas these days. Be it the Imtech-Arena (football), ColorLine Arena (now named O2 World just like 50 other stadiums around the globe; handball and hockey) or Raiffeisenbank Arena (training arena), I'm only going to the Volkspark. Easier to remember than all the other names, and heck, even the signs at the bus and train stations only point to "Arenen" anyway, no names there either.

I have a huge collection of BVB jerseys, all of them worn during a Bundesliga/Pokal/Europa League game. I got them for free of course and some of them are probably worth several hundred Euros among collectors.

I would never buy a jersey from the fan shop because - as you already wrote - they are rip-off.

No, those are/were the "only" names, though supposedly at some point around 3 years ago it came close to be called "Emirates-Arena", but that deal fell through.

Indeed. The name changing is annoying, and many names don't even tell you anything or sound good.

St. Pauli used to be sponsored by 4U, but since this season, our new aviation sponsor is none other than AB.

I think LH would have been a better sponsor, since they have the biggest domestic route in Germany, if not the biggest one in all of Europe (FRA-HAM), thus the bigger connection to Hamburg than 4U and AB.

Oh, and it's JHV in Köln right now. Overath will probably stay despite rumours of his demise as president of the FC, but of course one of the biggest subjects for most fans is how they can get rid of the widowmaker Michael Meier.

Sure, Cologne is a much bigger Germanwings hub than Dortmund. Maybe they will try it with the FC next season, the FC's sponsorship deal with Rewe is only lasting till 2011.
