Ah, it's been a while. 
A couple of A.netters signed up at ChemtrailCentral.com a few years ago to try to reason with them but didn't get very far beyond being accused of being "from the guv'ment, man". It was hilarious.

I have had some run-ins with them in my time. One of the most memorable things was when they used a picture of firefighting tanker - that Evergreen 747 - flying low, flaps out, releasing water from belly, as a "proof", that engine-released vapor, in high altitudes, is actually artificial.
Or when they would argue about crosswind blowing contrails off of following airplane (No, they are flying in GRIDS, look the trails are PARALLEL they are not flying same route)

What are the chemtrails even supposed to do? Kill us all? If that's the case, why haven't we heard of these mass deaths yet? And you'd say that's a pretty ineffective way of doing it, since I'm fairly sure it would be easier to just poison the local water plant/dairy plant/brewery.

It is supposedly a government conspiracy to alter weather patterns. It caused, among other things, Hurricane Katrina. And.......the recent earthquakes 
Someone didn't pay attention in science when they learned about tectonic (Sp?) plates and earthquakes.
The guy was wondering about them because there are more of these trails than when he was a kid...Wouldn't there have been more prop planes back then??

Just ask your local chemtrail nut about all of those B-17s, B-24s and Lancasters, with piston engines, laying "chemtrails" all over Europe in WWII. What about the Spitfires, Me-109s and Hurricanes? What about the B-29s that squirted chemtrails over 1500 miles of open ocean between Tinian and Japan?

But seriously, I struggle to fathom sometimes how folks come up with these crazy ideas, the truth is that the only real 'chemtrails' are things like silver iodide cloud seeding, crop spraying and mosquito spraying - all fairly harmless low altitude stuff. They tried to use cloud-seeding in China for the Olympics beforehand so that it wouldn't rain during the games. Meanwhile good old water-vapor is being blamed for all sorts...

I mean, really? Metals in Jet fuel? That wouldn't ruin a multi-million dollar piece of equipment.

You forgot to mention that DHMO contains a high amount of hydrogen, the explosive gas which brought down the Hindenburg and ripped open the reactor buildings in Fukushima. Furthermore, gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns while extended exposure to its solid form will cause freeze damage to your body. Additionally, inhalation of even modest amounts of DHMO will kill you in a short period of time. And of course the most disturbing fact: although the management of all chemical companies know about the dangers of DHMO, they continue to use it as a universal solvent and refuse to replace it

If there really was any chemical additives being put in jet fuel for any dastardly reason, surely MOL would have spoken up and applied a 'carrying mind control substances' fee to all fares?

Perhaps even more galling than that is the fact that the very people who so often decry that "Government can't do anything right" also believe that the Government is capable of vast, insanely-well-crafted, impossibly secretive conspiracies like the chemtrails nonsense.
You'll often hear them talking, for example, about socialism and how the government is out to take over everything. Except that the Government can't do anything at all and is totally incompetent, except that the government is capable of engineering secret communist takeovers without anybody finding out about it, except, except, except....

I thought they say it was about weather/climate control.
They say the U.S. and some other countries tested a weapon that would influence the weather over hostil countries by emitting chemicals and chaffs. At least this is what a former colleague who did vaguely believe in chemtrails told me.
Funny enough, the same lady didn't believe that billions of tons of CO2 emitted every year would have an effect on climate in the long run.

I love how the anchor says twice that they are, "white lines of smoke caused by airplanes and jets." So a jet isn't an airplane now? Besides that it's now a "smoke" contrail apparently.
