Last Movie You Saw.

Sat Jul 02, 2011 2:39 am

Hi!

Thought I'd ask what people's last movie they saw was and did they like it.

I just finished watching Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time on DVD and I really enjoyed it. Jake Glyllenhaal (maybe spelling there) was cool as were the other cast and it had a good storyline with lots of action and adventure. Hollywood still has it!

Any responses welcome.

Many thanks

Pierre

i thought it was hilarious. Mine was Bad teacher too. Although I thought some parts were a little unrealistic such as the showing movies all the time. Teachers have to keep a lesson plan and submit it to the principal. Plus, admins walk in all the time to classrooms and if they find someone not teaching, they will get fired.

The last movie I saw was Cars 2. I can say that it is the worst Pixar movie ever made, which isn't bad but if you compare it to other movies like Finding Nemo, Wall-E, Up and Toy Story, it lacks that Pixar feeling and a good Pixar movie needs a great theme song! Overall, it wasn't as bad as the critics say and it's entertaining but it lacks that Pixar soul.

Great Movie, I'm a fan of him. Source Code was also great.

"Love and Other Drugs". Anne Hathaway had her shirt off more than she had it on.
I can't remember what the damn movie was about.

LOL. I wouldn't be able to, either.

The last movie I saw in theaters was 3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy, in Hong Kong. It's a 3D remake of a 1991 Cantonese softcore porno; it was higher grossing in Hong Kong on opening weekend than either Avatar or Titanic!    I have never laughed more/harder at a "movie" than I did that one. I highly recommend it! Fun for all ages!

In theaters, I'm embarrassed to say I have no idea. I haven't been to the movies in such a long time... I think I went to a drive-in a few months ago, but I can't for the life of me remember what was playing.

If we're counting home viewing, mine would be "Beerfest." I showed my 16-year-old brother the movie for the first time and he loved it!

Hereafter
The king speach
Hangover 2

I thought all where very good. I know it said the last, but I think all 3 deserve a mention as I enjoyed them all.

Me and my gf are waiting for the release here in the US. She's dying to see it and can't see now at home in Mainland China due to the obsenity laws.

For me, in theatres, saw Kung Fu Panda 2 (again with the GF). Next will be the "Beginning of the Great Revival," the one on the founding of the Chinese communist party at the Times Square theatre next week. Something I actually want to see but she's not so into.

I did a double feature 2 weeks ago:

Kung Fu Panda 2 - AWESOME!!! The story and special effects were amazing and much better than the first movie!

The Hangover 2 - I liked it because it was more of a "raw" movie than a wild night in Vegas.

Just rewatched Everything Is Illuminated today. I forgot how funny, yet somber that movie is.

Definitely one of my top 10 movies.

The last movie I saw was Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which I saw on DVD last night.

The last "new" (as in, I'd never seen it before) movie I saw was Inside Job (the movie about the guys that wrecked the economy a couple of years ago).

Last movie in a theater: honestly can't remember. It may have been Avatar.

The last movie I saw at the theater was Bridge on the River Kwai. I saw it at the Redford Theater, in Detroit, (Grand River & Lasher) and it was the best picture of 1957. I'm not that old but I went and saw it with my dad last weekend. Dad saw it when it was new though. I have seen it many times and own it on DVD (used to have a VHS copy too) but it was great to see it on the big screen. There were many details I never noticed before when viewed on a TV.

I have been a teacher for 11 years and never have submitted a lesson plan to an administrator, neither has any teacher I have ever known. A good administrator doesn't need to be bothered with that kind of micromanaging to know if his teachers are doing a good job or not. A good lesson plan doesn't mean a good teacher.

I guess you have never been in a union school.... I have seen lots of teachers not teach and not get fired.

I did know one teacher who showed movies everyday and he did get fired....

I didn't think it was very funny, but I have seen the best beer drinking movie ever (Strange Brew, 1983) so many times no other beer drinking film can compete.

Saw Cars 2 3D last week at the local theatre as we had a giftcard. I liked it, my fiancee liked the first one better. On the subject of 3D, I can see it going the way of Betamax and Laser Disc once the initial wow-factor wears out.

Then I saw Max Manus on DVD the other night and it was a (surprisingly) good movie...it's in Norwegian, and even my fiancee liked it.

Cars 2, tonight. Oddly mean-spirited in places for a children's movie. I say this knowing that most Pixar movies are already attractive to adults, perfectly able to go see one without kids. So not sure why the need for the more realistic violence and evilness. I liked it, but Cars 1 was better, so good in so many ways.

Most recent in a theatre: Bridesmaid, really enjoyed it, pretty hilarious.

Most recent -- switched on LOGO last night to see what was on and caught Rocky Horror Picture Show from about the 10 minute mark. Wow, loved it again -- it has been too long.

Transformers 3 in 3D Digital... Michael Bay sure knows how to create amazing special effects with a massive budget. Really enjoyed the film, but it only gets 9 out of 10 because of the happy ending. If somebody (or something) had to be sacrificed in order to save the world, it would have been perfect
