What odds would you have got last September that the Kings would win the Cup ?

Incredible... maybe this is the lesson for certain teams to learn. Play crap in the season, then up the tempo and play like stars in the play offs.

The two OT's were of course close, but after the 4-0 I have a feeling tomorrow night will be the final game of the season.

I'm almost hoping the Kings will lose tonight.NBC hold the TV rights on the series and they're going to put it on NBCsports channel which is just crap.If the series switch to Jersey, then NBC will show it.But It's beautiful static AM radio tonight.Maybe I'll go crash Obama's fund raiser.Oh.yeah.He's in town, again.

There will be a Game 5. The Devils played their best game of the series tonight. They'll need to build on this one - there's still a long way to go.

Well, a complete disaster for the Devils. A penalty that shouldn't have happened led to three (THREE!) goals, and that was that. I feel like crap for Brodeur, who kept the team in this series, is the reason there was even a Game 6, and deserved a whole lot better. He's still one of the best in the business, and I'll take him on my team in a heartbeat.

Congrats to the Kings, who took advantage of all the opportunities the Devils gave them (and there were many), and deserved to win it.

That was an ugly game. Congrats to the Kings though; they were clearly the better of the two teams. I guess LA's fan(s?) can finally get over Marty McSorely's illegal stick curve.

Wonder if anyone in LA even knows that they just won the Stanley Cup.

Well Kings win it all. That 5 minute Devils penalty in 1st period was a real killer for them.

Now that the Kings are indeed Kings, it's awards dinner then the amateur draft. For the awards I'll take:

Vezina - James Quick
Art Ross - Stamkos I believe was the leader (would have been Giroux if he'd stayed healthy)
Lady Byng - maybe they'll give it to Syd as a consolation prize
Norris - Hmmm....Ericsson in Ottawa had a great year, so did Doughty in LA, but I'll stick with Lidstrom
Rocket Richard - Stamkos again
Coach of the Year .... Darryl Sutter ?
Calder...can't really think of a truly outstanding rookie, to be honest

Did I miss any ?

Draft day will be interesting, not expected to be a great draft. Next year however is already being touted as a great draft year. Jets pick about 9th or 10th. Will be interesting to see what they do. I think they'll pick a forward as they frequently had trouble scoring. Both Mark Scheifele and Ivan Telegin should get good looks at training camp as well.

Henrique should get it IMO, but I'm not exactly unbiased.

Well, my last contribution seems to have been deleted. Although no e-mail notification.

Now that LA have won the cup, it's on to the NHL Awards in Vegas, then the amateur draft.

For the awards I'll suggest:

Vezina - Jonathan Quick
Art Ross - Steve Stamkos
Rocket Richards - Steve Stamkos
Norris - could be any of Doughty, Lidstrom, or Weber, but I'll stick with Lidstrom
Calder - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
Hart - Quick again

Draft may be ho-hum, though. Next year is what the scouts are excited about. My guys (Jets) pick 9th.

Kins deserved their win, though. Played amazing hockey throughout the playoffs.
