Quoting Mir (Reply 8): If I need a morning breakfast sandwich, I tend to go to Panera. |
Now this is why I started this post... saw this so decided t try it out this morning (a detour of a few blocks on my way to work, but decided to try anyway) and the sandwich I had was amazing, with only a minimal amount of guilt afterwards. Not only that, but the general atmosphere of the place was really nice (hadn't been in a Panera in a long time so wasn't sure what to expect) and it seemed to have a lot of other stuff I want to try in the future (sweet and savory). Definitely worth the extra few minutes on my commute, so thank you.
Quoting DesertJets (Reply 11): That said the breakfast burrito is the superior handheld breakfast item. Being in New Mexico there is no lack of places for a quality breakfast burrito. |
I tend to agree, although not sure when was the last time I had a truly satisfying one, with some tomato salsa and only the right amount of spice.
Quoting mad99 (Reply 24): in madrid nobody has a sandwich for breakfast but if you decided to have one it would be a 'mixto' = grilled ham and cheese. |
A very simple concept but surprisingly hard to find a good one in the U.S.
Quoting kiwiinoz (Reply 32): Get it takeaway and eat on the shores of Lake Wakitipu in Queenstown. Pretty damn near perfect breakfast experience |
Now come on, that is just cheating. You could be having a Horse Dung McMuffin on the shores of Lake Wakitipu in Queenstown and it would still be pretty close to a perfect breakfast experience. That is like saying I am a good photographer because my pictures of Glenorchy came out great - that place is so achingly beautiful that even the crappiest photographer with the worst camera in the world would turn out masterpieces.
