True Story? Woman Breast Feeds Cat On Flight.

Sun Jul 21, 2013 1:06 pm

A guy I work with has a friend who was a Continental pilot who told him he had a woman breast feed a cat during one of his flights. He says that when he went back to tell her to stop, she did, so nothing was made of it.

Is this true? I have no idea when this was to have happened.

That must be one of the most bizarre stories I have ever heard of in my life!
I don't have anything to do with Continental so I couldn't say whether it is or not but I would find it extremely troubling and disturbing if it was true.n

What's the problem. This wouldn't be the first time that a member of a mammal species feeds another mammal.

...

But doing this in public is indeed bizzare and apart fom the possibility, that the cat otherwise would have famished, the question about the mental health of that woman should arise ...

... if this story is true.

I once saw a woman breast feed a 5 year old, in a public place; now that was creepy!

Yes, but cats have very delicate gastrointestinal systems. Could a kitten handle human milk? Aside from that, if the story is true, she needs help.

Hmm, is there any medical evidence to stop breastfeeding at any time?

Cat saliva carries all kinds of nasty microbes. You can get diseases from it. Ever heard of cat scratch fever? Well if this cat with it's teeth was nursing on this woman, then she'd have come down with a serious infection of some kind.

Ok this kitten thing is weird a bit. But not that weird

Being a father of 2, the whole breast feed/milk thing has lost all it's weirdness

In fact, I have a confession. Current child, (7 months) is probably our last. So I decided to try a bit of I myself a couple of weeks ago.

I felt a little squeemish about it, but I guess if I drink milk from a cow that eats grass drenched in god knows what, why not a bit of human breast milk?

And, it was quite a non confronting taste. Very mild, delicate, as I guess you would expect, when thinking about it.

I thought kitty cats had sharp, pointy teeth and claws. I would believe that this would be uncomfortable to a human breast?

Anyway, I guess if I were seated next to her, I'd have to moo-ve over to an empty seat away from her. regards...jack

not always. I have had pet cats my entire life and I have been scratched many times while playing with a cat and bitten too (never a deep puncture wound though), particularly by kittens, and I have never had any kind of problem. I had a friend who had a cat many years ago that would suck on your finger, like she was nursing from her mother. It never hurt at all, she just sucked, never bit.

About ten years ago I was at a party and a friend was talking about putting his wife's breast milk in his coffee. Some people thought it was gross, but my buddy insisted we try it. His wife took out her boob and squeezed out a few shot glasses full. I drank one of them and It wasn't that bad; it reminded me of melted ice cream.

Speak for yourself. Back in the 80s we got proper service in First Class.

Seriously though, this is rubbish. Even nursing human babies is often very painful, and their tongues are not basically made of sandpaper. No matter how disturbed this woman was I am not buying this story for a second.

I've personally seen a woman breast feed a dog, which I found disgusting, breastfeeding a cat or any other non human is pretty vile IMO.

WAS a pilot for CO? Maybe back in the 70s and this "cat" was more like some 220 lb 6'2" disco stud on platforms looking to score at the back of the bus...you feel me?

I've heard that story before but with different airlines. I personally think it is an urban legend,

But here's one version that allegedly happened on WN.
