GTA V, Will You Buy It?

I did a quick search regarding GTA V and nothing popped up, sorry if it has been posted before

As the release date was 17th of september I seriously consider to buy GTA V and use it with Xbox360! Infact, to be honest with you, I can't wait to get it

Here in NL it is a real hype and no day passes without the game beeing in the news! What about your country, is the hype as big as here in NL? Will you buy it? Any pro's & con's? Have you owned previous versions? Let's discuss about it.

I will, once they get around to releasing it on the PC. The main reason for that being a) My TV won't do it justice anyway (it's 10 years old, non-flat, non-HD) and b) being hearing impaired, I prefer gaming with a headset on, so I can turn up the sound and get explosions, muzak etc. without annoying my neighbours.

I will! I have played them all since the 3rd on PS2. I did not want to buy it on the day of release, because that would mean risking playing it overnight and I'm working Mon-Fri. So I'll buy it this weekend.

Have you seen the made $800 million in the first 24 hours? This is insane...

Hell yeah I am gonna buy it. I just have to wait for it to be released on PC. Till that time I'll stick with BO2 and Civ5. Maybe I'll get Rome 2 as well.

Yep I will. Not sure when though. Busy with school so will probably wait till December and then at that time I will want to make my PMDG 777 purchase so I either need to start saving or make a decision one which one.

I haven't turned on my PS3 in over a year now, so I'm sure I will need updates and make sure it still works first!

I will, but I am still contemplating whether to buy a PS3 or wait until (or possibly if) the PC version comes out and get a high-end machine with it altogether. In the meantime, I am teasing myself with ingame videos on youtube, it looks swell! I had nothing else expected, though.

I only game on PC (and the PS3 and X360 are being replaced anyway). I've played GTA 1, 2 and 3, I guess I can get the IV for cheap in the meantime. I find new games too expensive anyway, with a few exceptions.

I bought it yesterday and coincidentally I wasn't feeling too hot either so I stayed home from work and played it for 7 hours straight and then another 2 hours before bed and I'm only about 14% of the way through the game... I'm not exactly proud of that, but oh well every now and then it's just necessary! I just bought the airfield so I plan to make use of that for decent income. This game ROCKS!

I might, if it's available for PC. Don't have X-box, PS, or any of the other gaming machines (last one I owned was a Nintendo 64, for which I only had a couple games; before that the last one I really ever played was SNES).

I got an X-box achievement for it i think, nothing in game though... I did it with Franklin, but i find he still seems a little shakey compared to Trevor flying... *shrug*

Once they've ported it over to PC & i have given it a bit of time to see how that has shaped up, yes. I still remember the trouble port of GTA IV came with. Have to admit though, i've dusted off GTA SA & IV again

This is the problem. First thing first this weekend I need to actually turn on my PS3 and do updates which are years over due etc.. I have seen videos on youtube and have some friends who have the game and wow, it seems like it is something else.

I wont kid myself I will be getting both, the question is which is first and when.

Especially since the Shaolin monks don't seem to be part of those new installments.

The consensus of rumor is that the PC, Xbox1 and PS4 versions will release together sometime next year... I really doubt before the Christmas season. The PC versions tend to lag behind by up to 6 months for GTA

Anyways... I've stopped playing the missions religiously... I've been hunting easter eggs and fun... done all the shipwrecks/planewrecks, robbed all the stores, robbed a few armored cars... but i can't get the stock market to profit me so... shrug.

Gotta do the missions for that! There's an assassination series you do with Franklin and you listen into what's happening.. Then put all your money into whatever company after the shootings.

I bought it last week, but havent come around to play it yet. I caught the flu two days ago though (I really did), so I'm going to try it later today. I'm not playing it when my girlfriiend is around. She actually said it wouldnt bother her though, but she has been looking after me so well the last two days i spent in bed that i dont want to block the tv now all day long

I finally bought it yesterday! Let me tell you guys the story. A minute walking from my house there is a big shopping mall with different electronics entertainment shops. After having checked out 3 shops I started to get seriously desperate and disappointed because the game was completely sold out everywhere and even placing an order would take more than 4 weeks to get it! Well than I had one shop and shot left! Media Markt, YESSS Bingo! Lucky Bastard I am

Just a few minutes before I entered the shop there was that women who bought one for the Xbox 360 but once at home she dicovered that her boyfriend had a Playstation and not the Xbox 360 (it was intended as a gift for her boyfriend) so she came back to trade it in and that was my moment of victory

So I really got the very last one. Lucky me

Well once at home I couldn't wait a sec more! Once installation completed I got very fast into the game and waw what an amazing graphic! I play it on a 50" + full HD TV and its really amazing to see all those details! They put big effort in to be as much realistic as possible. As the game is mega huge i still need to figure out how everything works and I will post later about my experience and adventures in GTA V the best game ever.

Oh i know that's supposed to work, but I think im stuck in a reported bug where the BAWSAQ doesn't update, cause the stocks only move within 5% and at random... something wrong with the social sign in apparently... anyways, I'll get it sorted, I'm just slowly playing through, doing all the side missions and stuff.

I've got it, its very good but a few of the little issues are becoming apparent. Also the other drivers are doing my head in, always turning into the characters' cars

From what I understand BAWSAQ fluctuates based on events in the GTA Online environment, it's supposed to be the more stable of the two markets because you as an individual player can't really influence prices. The other market (I can't think of the name off the top of my head) is where you buy stocks that rise and fall based on your actions throughout the game.

All of the companies have competition in the same market. For example there are 2 airlines. Investing in the airline worth less, then shooting down all the competitons planes will cause your stock to jump. The same goes for car companies as well - invest in one, blow up the competition, make a huge profit.

Also its good to be on the lookout for clues - whether it's breaking news on the radio, reading the home page on your mobile browser, or even the front page of the stock market website itself.

All you have to do is position yourself so that you're standing in the middle of the doorway - halfway in and halfway out - facing inside and with the door against your back. Once you're there you're able to choose a weapon and do the deed.

Overall there are less fluctuations in BAWSAQ but there's one company on that exchange which plummeted after I assassinated someone.. Shares in Vapid was the one I bought and I've made a few hundred thousand. It's my bank now.. I'd rather have money in the shares because the hospital can't take much from you when it's all tied up!

How I do it:
Walk in
Pull gun, point at clerk
wait for clerk to open till
If clerk pulls gun, headshot, if not by now they won't just ignore them, unless you WANT more wanted stars

IF second till is there shoot it till it opens
grab money bag(s)
escape popos...
PROFIT!
works best with Franklin, just dont try and bring Chop along, he just causes popos to see you easier.

Though honestly it's never THAT big a score, diving the shipwrecks is better... just get a scuba tank... even the shallow one you can easily freedive in the port canal near the RR bridge is quick and worth more than any of the stores. (look for stairs into canal near oil derricks on south side east of RR bridge W of road bridge, its near the south shore, shallow enough you can see it easily) also if you want you can bring multiple chars and just switch them, all collect it, again if more chars, wait a few mins, switch back to 1st, repeat!

Armored cars are more fun

Setup a), guy outside still
Shoot guy
Take money bag
Run from popo AND other guard/driver

Setup b) truck buttoned up already
Shoot driver thru windsheild (sniper rifle works best.. Michael spec ability very useful)
Shoot guard either through windshield or when he gets out... or just run by the truck and...
use explosive on back door (sticky bombs work best, RPG works well, others tricky... if you can drive the truck (they sometimes leave a door open) drive it to gas station and make THAT go boom with the truck inside also works)
take money bag
run from popo

Still never a huge payout...

Also my BAWSAQ is now sorta working from the looks of it... Rockstar had me recreate my social account and it works... well... the few minutes at a time its up anyways :P

Well I finally broke down today and bought it. My roommate has been playing it nonstop since buying it so with the rainy weather this weekend I figured I'd go ahead and treat myself. I'm not a huge gamer so it has been a little frustrating trying to figure out how to play it. But I'm getting the hang of it and I really like it thus far. I just hope I don't end up playing all night. I actually have to wake up tomorrow

Thanks for the hints but can you tell me where can I get the scuba thanks? There is an airplane wreck at Paleto bay. You need to grab a boat/jetski near the pier than at the pier drive west for let's say 1 mile than you will see the wreck marked on your map. You have to dive down to grab the little box next to the wreck, it's worth 12.000,- $. I tried it several times but didn't scucced because I drowned or was the lunch of a big white shark! Thats why in first place the scuba tank would really be helpful! Btw, you can get the reward multiple times by switching between characters.

I haven't found yet 1 armored car! Where are they? I've waited near the banks and next to police stations but not seen one

Robbing the shops dang I need to try that out!

Been spending some time on this game and managed to get Michael up to around $110 million in the bank. The only problem was that I only really bothered with the stock market about halfway through the assassination missions - if I were to go back and do it again I would leave those missions to the end to increase profit considerably.

What I did was increased the player's lung capacity to 100% - if I remember correct every real-time minute spent underwater gives you 1% increase in lung capacity. (There's another $25000 briefcase in a submarine wreck offshore near Vespucci also)

They spawn at random and will occasionally show up on your map - I've seen them around gas stations too.

This explains it very well....the stock market is the only way to get that kind of cash as far as I know. I could have made MUCH more if I waited until I had beaten the last heist as I would have had a lot more money to invest...

Ok for the scuba tanks, look for small boats, "Nagasaki Dinghy", next to the south side piers of Elysium Island, steal one and when you jump off you will be wearing a tank. The boats are usually bright red or yellow... look during mid day to evening for best odds at finding one, there are 2 locations they spawn... one is next to the west base of the long pier near the tugboat drydock, another is next to a barge west of there at the very SW tip of the port. They DO spawn elsewhere OCCASIONALLY, I found one off of the beach this weekend.

The easy to access case is in the canal north of Elysium Island (port area) between the Railroad bridge running north/south-ish and I think it's Signal Rd's bridge (same direction of travel). SE of the Maze Bank Arena, east of the airport, due south of Franklin's original house (really his Aunt's house). NOT open ocean. Find the stairs near the oil rigs on the north side of the canal, the barge wreck is west (towards RR bridge) near those stairs fairly close to the shore/wall, you can EASILY freedive it, 8500 per case. Easy way to find the place, pick up the RR tracks (not the LRT!) near Franklin's original house and follow them south to the bridge.

This one is super easy to access and find, and it's right IN LS, and not deep... just be careful not to get caught under the wreck, theres nothing else in this wreck though unlike SOME of the deep water ones where you can find weapons, armor and health.

There are 10 wrecks... but i dont think there is one near Vespucci?

Theres a good one south of the end of the peninsula that the Military base runway is on in VERY deep water with all kinds of weapons and 11k i think it is... another good one is south of Elysium island... I'll check tonight at home, i have all the locations marked.

Real estate is useful... and conitnues to pay out (for the profit ones) for ever... stocks are only really good during the mission portion of the game.
