Unless there is an eleventh hour reprieve, the Proud Bird Restaurant at LAX will cease operations later this month due to economic conditions. I will be sad to see it go.

Its an old and tired restaurant, which appears to have been living on below market rent for a long time.

I just have been at the Proud Bird yesterday and the atmosphere is still great. Being there at the approach 25L, you sit there, have a drink enjoy the view, the noise, chat with other people...
Sad to see it go. But the waitress told me that there is a 30% chance that they might survive. There is a meeting next week and it might turn out good. But not high chances, but fingers crossed.
