Not sure if it's just the color, but that M3 looks amazing. Best in several generations for sure. Can't wait to see it in some other colors.

M3 is great! M4 is fine. Nothing I love about it. I used to be more of a Audi, Mercedes person but after being able to drive my girlfriends 328i a bit I am starting to like BMW again. Would never want one of their SUVs and I think I prefer the large Audi and Mercedes sedans but when it comes to smaller sedans and entry level cars they are pretty great. Of course the M is no entry level car.

So, if I get it right, the M3 is now the name for the sedan and the M4 is now the name for the Coupé?

Both look good to me.

The M3 has too many doors, I wish they'd kept the M3 name for the coupé. Oh well, only the first M3 is really to my taste anyway, a race car for the road.

The color of the M3 is BMW's legendary Estoril Blue which they have finally brought back again.

You are correct, BMW is doing this to its whole lineup:

1 & 2
3 & 4
5 & 6

And then it all falls down when you see that you can get a 4 door 6 series! :p

The new M cars look great. I'm not so bothered that the M3 is 4 door only - now that I have kids, that's actually better haha.

I know they're going to have turbocharged 3.0 litre straight six engines, but does anyone know if the rumoured triple turbo configuration (similar to the M550d) is going to happen? Or is it a conventional twin turbo setup?

I like the styling with the comments that I personally feel the lower front and rear fascias are a little too "busy" appearing. I know they are trying to visually transmit "performance", but I still think they are overdone.

Instrument panel? I dunno...with the exception of the pop-up screen (which I abhor) it reminds me of some older vintage something I think I've seen before but can't really remember specifically. All-in-all; thumbs up.

all a bit meh if you ask me. I'd rather have the Polestar S60, which Volvo needs to make.

Exactly how a M BMW should look like! Powerful, agressive and Sporty!

These cars should be everything they're advertised to be. And helping to deflate E92 resale values would be nice too.

Sign me up for an M4 in Laguna Seca Blue with the 6MT please.

It's a 3.0L twin-turbo; 425 bhp and 401 lb-ft. The advantage of this engine is that it's roughly 25 pounds lighter than the old S65 V8.

The screen doesn't move. It's fixed.

Even worse, in my opinion.

We rented a new Impala out in Reno a while back (super nice car, BTW) that had the pop-up. We had it pop up once and never used it again. But again, that's just me. If customers want it, then fine.

BTW, I really LIKE inline sixes. Inherently balanced and super-smooth. Turbo is great cake icing.

Estoril Blue

I believe that the M3 shown is in Laguna Seca Blue. Estoril Blue is a darker metallic blue.

The best thing about these cars? They are still real cars. Why? Still getting real manuals.

Daddy want.

Love that.
