Anything new for Blackberry and Nokia? Seems that they are not interested in developing new products.

uhhh..BlackBerry 10?

Here's a few articles to get you started:

Also, to preempt any "BlackBerry doesn't have software" arguments, with OS 10.2 you can download any Android apk file.

Far from it in BlackBerry's case.

Of course Nokia isn't interested in developing new products when they just sold their hardware division to Microsoft
but to answer your question, say hello to the Lumia 930 already released in the states on Verizon as the Icon sans 8.1

Nokia sold hardware to Microsoft, wedding themselves to Windows Mobile. Nokia has kept strong in developing markets, but that hasn't been enough for a couple years now.

Sounds like a RIM apologist. They are having people picked off left and right due to their wilting viability.

Love my new Q10. I have to admit, I believe I'll be pretty jealous once the new BlackBerry Classic (with the command ribbon) comes out. I miss those four buttons.

I've been fortunate enough to be privy to one of the pieces of hardware BlackBerry has in the pipeline, set for release by the end of the year (so they say). It was a beta device, and I had all of 5 minutes to get my hands on it, but it was unlike anything BlackBerry has ever released before.

Although I'm unlikely to buy one when it does come out (nothing wrong with the device, I just like the one I use now), I'm very excited to see the final product.

Completely untrue. People are leaving BlackBerry left and right due because Apple and their deep pockets are cherry-picking the hell out of BlackBerry's R&D teams. BlackBerry employees are generally loyal, but everyone has a price.

Being located in Waterloo has also had an effect as many of the great start-ups in the region tend to offer compensation packages with generous equity options which most find difficult to turn down.

But hey, I'm just one of those former RIM employees. What do I know?

You may want to familiarize yourself with the Enterprise Services side of the telecommunications industry before making such a claim.

BlackBerry's "demise" has been a result of absolutely horrendous decisions in the consumer market, but BES continues to be a profit-making machine for the company.
Flying refined.

It'll always be RIM to me.

Oh, its great for my girlfriend, who is a real estate agent in Waterloo.

Also, don't underestimate Google and that nice new office they opened there.
