Well I was sitting calmly in a classroom in LAS when it happened, and I didn't feel a thing. But I heard some kids indeed felt it.

There's a map of where it took place here: http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/la...s-vegas-spaghetti-bowl-ramp-closed

Some years ago Reno was rocked by a 4.2 quake, which was the top headline on the Reno Gazette-Journal the next day, and I was in the shower in my hotel room on the 35th floor of the Silver Legacy.

After I got out of the shower I phoned down to the front desk to see if there had been an earthquake (I mean when you're on vacation in Vegas or Reno sometimes it's hard to tell    ) and the receptionist said she didn't know anything about it.

I was in San Leandro, California a few years back when the whole Bay Area, it is claimed, was hit a 5.6 earthquake or something. Everyone was talking about it but I didn't feel a thing.

It's weird how varied people's experiences are of non-minor earthquakes.
Pancakes are delicious.

Slept right through it, there was a report of damage to one of the ramps in the spaghetti bowl (the big US15/95 interchange) that turned out to be a piece of rubber covering a joint coming lose.

There is actually a fault line that runs pretty much down the strip, when that thing decides to move life will get interesting.
