Ever Seen A Human Barbie?

Wed Nov 11, 2015 6:05 pm

It's not a doll, it's not a statue.

She's "the living Barbie," Valeria Lukyanova...

https://scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/61459_10101764843975555_249502182_n.jpg?oh=653c8c3aa1060175fb4f7d4f2ec1bf77&oe=56BEB142

...who after six-figures worth of plastic surgery (including 2 removed ribs!) has 'officially' become the first known woman to have the dimensionally-scaled measurements of a real Barbie doll:

38DD-19-35 (Lukyanova) vs 38DD-18-33 (Barbie, scaled to the same height).

Crazy.

I wouldn't just on the most likely fact that she must be as creative in bed as an actual Barbie doll i.e:completely motionless.

So, might as well get an actual sex doll. At least you don't have to take it out on dates...

To each his/her own, and if she's happy, more power to her. But that is disgusting.

The perfect chat up line...

Hi. My name is Ken.

Where I live is a 50 something lady who believes she is still in her twenties - and the effect is something quite hideous - underneath all the surgery and stuff is probably a very lovely person, but none the less....

How does someone survive surgery that extensive? I see no room for a stomach there, let alone any other organs.

As long as it's not harming her and she likes looking like that, more power to her I guess

Aside from her obvious dysmorphia, remorseless racism, and generally kooky statements (she claims to be able to digest air+light, and thus not need food).....

.....a redeeming quality that she DOES have, is that she's got an absolutely *amazing* voice.
Check out her YouTube for some clips of her singing; very few humans can do anything approaching that.

In fact, that's how all of this started: she was the breakout star of the Ukrainian opera, and used the money for the surgeries.

happens all the time in the Ballet world. my sister was told by her dance instructor that she should have my nieces bottom ribs removed to advance her chances, since my niece body type is not stereotypical ballerina figure.
She has the long legs, but a short waist.

She didn't do it, but many young girls will.

I just have a hard time believing that. A little poking around the Internet seems to indicate that the procedure is more urban legend than reality; although a few people seem to make a case that they've actually done it. And if it happens, it's in non-US medical facilities.

I know it's shocking, We are talking about prestigious ballet company, that's very hard to get into. both my sister and a co-workers daughter were told the same thing 4 years apart and they acted like it was no big deal.

it's called rib re-sectioning, and they perform the surgery in Mexico. to remove the floating ribs. The woman in this article had two ribs removed.

It's the ultimate in cosmetic surgery.

There is no difference between what this women has done and what Bruce did, they have both transformed themselves into something which they were not born to be.

Utter rubbish. I work in the ballet industry and have spent my whole life around ballet since the day I was born due to the nature of my parents' profession. Most of my friends and acquaintances are principal and soloist level dancers and choreographers from The Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, English National Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, The Joffrey, The Bolshoi Theater, The Australian Ballet and the Mariinsky. What you say, does NOT happen in the Ballet world.

If your family, as you say, were told that upon admission to a "prestigious" ballet school (mind you I use the word school, because by the time you are admitted to an actual company, and a prestigious one at that, you are in your late teens and have gone through over a decade of rigorous training, so removing ribs or having ANY type of surgery as a suggestion of your admission to the institution is ludicrous and simply untrue), then I certainly hope they filed a complaint about said individual.

Where I worked years ago there was a lady that had about artificial everything.
Sometimes a wig sometime not. Had a set of bolt-ons on her chest. Looked like she bought her eyelashes at the paint brush department at the Home Depot.
Appeared she installed her make up with a trowel.

Okie's thought was her significant other while waiting for her to take off all that before bed would yell, "when you get to the part that I want just throw it over into bed".

Please note, the undertone of this thread, is that women are doing things to their bodies to fit a classic body ideals, that biologically they weren't meant to have.

If you are influential in the Ballet world. I hope you work to change it. I'm sick and tired of those in your industry judging young girls body shapes, simply because they do not have the so called "classic ballerina" shape. the " unspoken competitiveness" in that industry has driven many young girls into developing unhealthy eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia or are you going to deny that as well?

Personally, i don't know which one is worse suggesting to a already thin girl to lose more weight or suggesting that they have a rib removed. They both sound barbaric to me.

so, that's two people that believe it's a urban legend. Great, will you please call CBS news and tell them
they don't know what they are talking about.

There's nothing to deny. There are many girls who face peer pressure to be skinny and beautiful, this happens in all industries and not just ballet. But unsurprisingly enough, those that are at the top of their game know that their training is both as physical as it is mental. And guess what, most prima ballerinas that I know eat more than the average male at times   They are in the studio sometimes more than 10 hours a day, followed by a show, they are burning thousands of calories a day.

Ballerinas and male dancers come in all shapes and sizes and the ones that make it all the way know how to use that to their advantage. Out of seriously hundreds of professional dancers that I know, only one has struggled with anorexia, and even that was as a result of problems in her marriage rather than ballet itself. It's out there, but way more common amongst young girls facing scrutiny by their friends than any instructors or ballet masters.

Quoting DLFREEBIRD (Reply 46):

No one is denying that it happens. You can find all kinds of crap in this world. One comment was just saying that it doesn't happen as often as you stated it does in general. And my comment was saying that it doesn't "happen all the time" in the ballet world, like you put it. Very isolated instances at most maybe, and even a handful of those examples in the prestigious circles of ballet would be incredibly hard to find.
