Not directed just at you, but I've noticed a curious thing on here. All the people that can't stand FOX or Trump or Palin etc sure seem to spend a lot of time paying attention to them. Have you ever thought about just closing a web page or changing a channel? It's starting to sound like you are being forced to listen to people. Trust me, i know when Rachel Maddow is on, and I feel empowered enough in my life to just click the power button off and go do something else.

To be fair, Palin has an estimated net worth of approx $12million, and it's basically derived from turning "folksy nonsense talk" into a tangible brand.

Credit where due, she's basically the Jenna Jameson of trash talk. One may not like how she made her millions, but it's impossible to deny that she did just that-- and started from essentially nothing.

This is nothing more than an attempt by her to stay in the spotlight.

As a side note... Party members want that the party cares about their interests. But the only successful candidates are those that pander to the swing voters... so Trump needs really to improve to be a real danger to anybody. A candidate who is cherished only by his own base will achieve nothing.

I think he's feeling the heat in Iowa with Ted "Sociopath" Cruz winning over the Evangelical vote, and he's hoping Palin's endorsement will sway some of those voters back to him.

I'm actually one of those that has started having doubts about whether Hillary truly is THE candidate the Democrats need. It's not so much that Bernie is rising as much as Hillary declining. I'm still committed to vote for the Democrat candidate. However, I may be holding my nose when I do so. Bernie still doesn't convince me, but Clinton is no longer the star she was. And either one would be way better than Trump.

Although, I still insist: a Trump presidency (or GOP, for that matter) is a blessing in disguise.

Let's assume Democrats are able to retake the Senate (an interesting scenario since it would mean vulnerable Republican incumbents lost by being linked to Trump, who squeaked an EC win by a razor thin margin...say, 268-270). That would mean a Trump presidency would be left in check for the first 2 years. No SCOTUS nominees or anything as long as Schumer says so. Assuming Trump's presumed incompetence is shown. and is unable to deliver on his promises..midterm elections in 2018 should allow some gains for Democrats. By 2020, Trump could be a one term president. However, the damage may be done, with Democrats holding more positions than they did back in 2016. In comes the 2020 census with new districts being redrawn in time to test them for 2022.

A way farfetched scenario, but one I still think is plausible. Again, two conditions have to be in place:
-A disliked GOP candidate winning by a small margin (Trump and Cruz fit the mold...)
-Democrats being able to retake the Senate (regardless of the margin). In 2018, if they face losses, assuming they can keep more than 40 seats, they should be OK with filibuster being their last resort. But if they gain seats, then so be it. Along with a gain, more governorships could switch as well as seats in the state legislatures, maybe enough to flip them, gain a veto-proof majority, or reduce the majority of GOP legislatures.
