He already has a 5-place grid penalty because of a gearbox change. That's another opportunity for Nico Rosberg to increase his lead in the WDC.

He addresses that too in the article.
He "prefers the excitement", and not lose the approximate 8 seconds.
I am curious to see how quickly he can make his way through the field.
ROS has been fortunate with the safety car staying in, in Bahrain.

Today I particularly liked Kvyat's banter in the pre-podium room; "that's racing bro".

Nice win for Rosberg. 36 points is starting to become a consequent gap, especially after only three races.
Good to see a Renault engine on the podium. The Red Bulls had pace this weekend. It will be interesting to see how they perform after the major engine upgrade that is planned around the Canadian GP.
On the other hand, the Renault team is in for a looooooong season...
Grosjean was quite furious at Eriksson, calling him an "imbecile" for the collision at the first turn. I understand it was his 30th birthday yesterday and he wanted to do well, but he also should keep in mind that he hasn't always been a safe driver himself in the past.

So F1 went ful indycar from the start, and the indy GP of long beach get s a race from start to finish with green flags and all starters completed the race. What kind of upside down world is this.

Interesting stat: every driver who started the season with 3 wins went on to the win the championship. Ayrton Senna (1991), Nigel Mansell (1992), Damon Hill (1996), Michael Schumacher (1994, 2000, 2004).
Now, this season is a bit longer than the ones listed above. There's still 450 points to take!
The appeal shouldn't work, so we can be pretty much sure to have a Rebellion confirmed as 3rd

Agreed.
I'm a big fan of Vettel and I have defended him on numerous occasions here, but I can't this time. That was nothing other than a racing incident, and it's nothing Vettel wouldn't do if the shoe was on the other foot.

My thoughts entirely given how many points Grosjean has had on his super license. Other websites were reporting that Grosjean used the c word. Ericsson meanwhile has a reputation for keeping his nose clean. His drive at China seemed good, especially considering how slow the Saubers are. Fingers crossed that they find some development money soon....hopefully a tie up with Alfa Romeo will go some length to addressing their troubles.

They took over the team too late last year. The car has been developed to host a Merc engine. They had to rework in urgency to fit the Renault one. Also, when they took possession of the premises, half of the resources and machinery was gone. This shows how much trouble Lotus was in. It's hard to build a competitive car in these conditions.
Considering the major rule change coming in 2017, I too would be tempted to focus already on it. I know that they might sit on some FIA income for not scoring points and all, but Renault is not poor. They can find money somewhere else for a year.
