After watching several 007 marathons over the past year or so I've changed my views. For example My favorite Bond film is On her Majesty's Service with George Lazenby and Telly Savalas. Its a classic plus I live the soundtrack as well. The ski chase is perhaps my favorite one of the series. Sean Connery is my favorite all time Bond particularly his early works like You only live twice, Dr. No.
What is everyone else's opinions?

After Sean Connery left, I was not a big fan. He was the best in my opinion also.

My favorite classic Bond is From Russia with Love, while my favorite modern Bond is Skyfall.

I could refinde this list a bit more, though. To me, a good Bond film is one I connect to more easily, so I am more partial to those that came out during my lifetime. Goldeneye is the first one I watched in a movie theatre, so it goes...
I dislike the Bond films with a lot of CGI, I prefer those with real stunts. Then, Bond is not an action hero - but he must be a hero, using his brains and his courage to overcome certain situations. A good story is essential (e.g. Spectre had none, and I even confused scenes of it with "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation" - while watching Spectre, I even waited for Bond to cling to the A400M...)

Well, since Connery IS Bond, there are really only a few films to rank. Lazenby gets some benefit from being sandwiched by Connery films, and thus makes the list, too.
#1 has fluctuated over time, and recently has sort of a tie:

5: On Her Majesty's Secret Service (I've appreciated it more over time such that it now makes my list)

I am probably going to be very much in the minority here, but I rate any of the Daniel Craig movies above the "classics" , I actually thought he was a horrible choice to play Bond when it was first announced and then Casino Royale came out and I loved it, I much prefer the "darker" Bond to anything else, especially Roger Moore's version, though I loved him in the Saint.
So for me, Skyfall is the best.

For me, what makes a good James Bond film is its fidelity to the original source material - the novels of Ian Fleming. By that, I don't necessarily mean that the film has to follow the book exactly (although the original stories haven't been fully exhausted yet), but that original cinematic stories ought to be based on the literary character, such that one familiar with the literary Bond can easily picture Fleming's Bond doing the sorts of things that he does on screen.
On that basis, my favourite films are as follows:

I think this will be very controversial, but my favourite Bond film is A View To A Kill, and I've never been able to put my finger on why! I do really like Christopher Walken as Max Zorin, and weirdly enjoy the silly scenes in this film. It always seems to be in people's worst list. I can see why, but as I said I like it.

You Only Live Twice, my favorite. I used to watch bond films all the time as a kid and I have the best memories about this one. I still love that evil cave with the bridge over the piranha pond!

I thought Lazenby and Brosnon were closer to the Book version. They're movies were darker like the novel.
You only Live Twice and For You're Eyes only had the best opening theme sequence with OHMSS a close third.
Dr. No and You Only Twice are my favorite Connery movies.
Early Roger Moore were good like Live & let Die, Man with a golden Gun.
Pierce Brosnan was good but was given lousy scripts.

Agreed. The old ones are certainly the best. Although I have the whole collection on Bluray I find I mostly watch the Connery ones.

Jetwet1, I totally agree with you...
I am a big James Bond fan, and consider the four Daniel Craig movies to be the best, with 'Skyfall' the best by a whisker over 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum of Solace'. 'Spectre' left me a bit cold but I loved how it closed a few 'themes' / plot lines running through the previous three movies. The perfect summing up/closure of the Craig set of Bond movies?
Of the others, I loved 'A View To A Kill' the most but enjoyed them all. 'Moonraker' was the only one I didn't particularly enjoy. 'A View To A Kill' had the best Bond theme song, in my humble opinion - well, I am a child of the Eighties, lol.
Of the Bonds, Daniel Craig is definitely first. Connery just pips Dalton with Moore and Brosnan (my least favourite) bringing up the rear. Lazenby gets a thumbs up if only for being a fellow Aussie, lol. As a footnote, I am so so so glad that plans to employ Mel Gibson as Bond did not eventuate... and I vote for any of the Hemsworths to be the next Bond!

Ii liked Goldfinger for many reasons but the flying women were pretty good in this movie and I liked gold finger also liked him as the redneck sheriff in Live and Let Die
