So local Democratic activists have raised over $13k to help the GOP office re-open as quickly as possible. Currently, there is no information as to who the perpetrators might be. A Swastika and a threatening message directed at "Nazi Republicans" was spray-painted on a nearby building. To me, that is suspicious. It seems as if we are meant to think that leftists are responsible, but in a situation like this I'd give it even odds.

Either way, regardless of who is responsible, I of course condemn political violence in the strongest terms. We have elections precisely so that we do not have to resort to violence.

We are talking about who is best to elect as President of the United States of America. To represent us in the world, to interact with world leaders and responds to global and national issues. That is not a "Party" thing, that is a "Of the options, who would be the best in that position". Can you honestly say that Trump has the best abilities for that?

And I'll keep coming back to taxes, anyone who recommends tax cuts loses my votes unless they have a clear plan that can be vetted and shown to work. We are in debt and each year runs a deficit. Fiscal responsibility means you pay your way, it does not mean you gamble and bet that if you reduce your income you can reduce what you spend to balance out. It means you address the shortfall first, once you have it under control THEN you can move on to other things. I have herd nothing from Trump that indicates he will be fiscally responsible or conservative.

I think those tactics on both sides are not needed. Hillary is above those sorts of things and it disappointing to me when she went low like that. I will still be voting for her though because she's the lesser of two bad candidates.

Did you ever consider that maybe it was the work of someone on the far right who believes the mainstream GOP is not conservative *enough*?

The fact is, no one really knows any facts right now. It could be a liberal activist, it could be a conservative one, it could be a drunk guy with too many fireworks. What is important is that no one was hurt and that the office be re-opened (yes as a liberal I think it is important that a GOP office be re-opened). Thankfully there is a crowdfunded movement to provide funds to do that.

I don't care about party. There are some really good non-Democratic candidates out there. What really needs to happen is to get back to some of the things the Founding Fathers wanted. One of those was no political parties.

Kasich would be handing Clinton's ass to her. (I'm a lifelong Republican and I wanted Kasich, so I may be biased. I certainly didn't want Trump...)

Anyway, my first thought was that it was a Democrat who did this, but now I'm not so sure. The "Nazi Republicans" and swastika are kind of suspicious. It could be a BLM supporter (probably a Democrat, but not necessarily) or it could even be far-right movement trying to frame the Democrat Party.

Of course, the violence is truly deplorable (see, Hillary, that's the correct use of that word). I am just glad that no one was in the office when it happened.
