Fun: Identify these cities as viewed from space

Tue Oct 18, 2016 3:34 pm

Found this and quite enjoyed it. 10 cities as viewed from above. Not too hard really, there were three I did not identify myself, but the one question I have is the final 11th one that they don't identify. What city is it?

Here is the first one:

And the last one, # 11:

Fun article. I also missed three (Miami, Sydney, and Amsterdam). LA is just sad.

Same for me. And I agree on LA but they certainly could have shown a better pic.

So lets try a new one not from the article, see who knows it:

Amsterdam is easy, with the canals structure. Rings around the old center.

I only had five, quite sad actually.

Is it Barcalona, Tugg?

I would say either Mexico City or Buenos Aires.

I missed like four of them. I though Rio was Miami.

I highly doubt that. Paris has two islands in the river. ;-)

I am still wondering about Vikkyik's first one that I thought was either MEX or EZE. Another guess would be somewhere in the Middle East. Tehran, maybe?

Very good. That picture is from the ISS, and I can honestly point out my house — give or take two miles (which isn't bad considering how far up the ISS is.

There are indeed two rivers — the Delaware and the Schuylkill.

Towards the bottom of Philadelphia, PHL is clearly visible.

SmithAir....Ft. Wayne if I remember your history correctly. After all, you're a rather hard guy to forget his biography. :)

My first job in high school was helping an international violin dealer. I don't forget green violins very often.

Surely vikkyvik is right? Look at the position of Grantham Harbour in relation to Leith?
